Hey links sacrifice, It's actually a pretty big issue lately, Bungie is aware that many users are having a hard time joining each other's Fireteams if they're playing on the same connection. You'll want to check out this thread, it's full of information and things you can try. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/210716770/0/0

So this is a work around that seems to work 100% of the time. Trust me when I say I have tried EVERYTHING else! 1. Both players load the game and go to the tower. 2. Both player at the same time press the XBOX button and quit the game. 3. Both players at the same time start destiny again and this should generate a 'WEASEL' error. Thus shoukd usually happen to both players. 4. Close the error and continue to selecting your characters. 5. You should now be able to join the same fireteam team. I know it's a ball ache it this does genuinely work. You can even leave the fireteam after and you will have no issues rejoining. This is a fix for as long as you are online but the next time you play you will have to do this again. Just goes to show that this is truly a bungie issue as to get this to work no changes to any network settings need to happen. Hope this helps.

Have you set up your network i.e. OPEN NAT or Port-forwarding? Another HOW-TO-OPEN your NAT guide. (it hasn't been updated since 2010 with he new console names. Other than that, it still works).

-QA Test Engineer (a.k.a. AR IS4 NUBS)
This is actually not a Bungie problem. It's a network issue that deals with how your home router handles your network traffic for multiple Xboxes on one network. It's a known issue with Xbox in general. Actually it's not really even an issue. It's just how IP communications work and a protocol called NAT. Basically follow the directions bellow regarding UPnP. It's a protocol that allows your home router to communicate correctly for devices who use the same communication channels(i.e. your Xboxes). Just make sure its enabled on whatever router you are using. Unfortunately not all routers are created equal! For instance if you use AT&T U-verse in the States, their routers do not support UPnP. Therefor you may have to buy a new one and install it on the backend of the U-verse router and plug your Xboxes into that. Anyway look into UPnP and you should be good to go.

Hey there, Currently, Bungie is aware and actively investigating the issue. You can find current updates and information in the Marionberry, Canary, and Local Network Fireteam Issues pinned thread. Make sure your home network is properly configured by following instructions in the 'Allowing Destiny Connections' KB article. After attempting the above, you can provide Bungie additional information by following instructions in the pinned thread, Apologies for the inconvenience. Hope this helps!
Death is not The Sickness unto death. ~ Soren Kierkegaard
I've replied to so many of these threads! Here is how my daughter and I can play together: Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Upnp enabled The nighthawk has 2 independent bands or channels. We each connect to our own Independent channel. This works if both are wifi or one wired/one wifi. Even works with power line adapter sets. We can raid together, PvP...anything. don't have hardly any problems...except for on occasion, it will crash xbl party. But even that is fairly rare. We're on a 60/5 Mbps and it doesn't even lag with wife streaming flux/Hulu in a different room. You might even wanna go better than the ac1900 and get a few steps up for triple band. Then you have all the routing you could ever need.
