Personally, I don't think speed farming should even be a thing in this game, but maybe that's going to far. Basically, I played a game where you kill waves and waves of trash (Diablo 3) and it got boring. I'm still engaged by Destiny, but at some point, when light is high enough, things will be too easy.
Personally, I'd rather have a fire fight that made me seek cover and play more tactically. I can get this from Heroic story by playing alone and basically challenging myself with not getting hit at all.
I do not, though, want bullet sponges, either. I think the enemy should just be very difficult to hit, cunning, but once I get a great shot or a few off, it's going down.

Remember the bada** black elites from Halo combat evolved? Those guys earned my respect. They could dodge roll, and nail you with a plasma grenade from across the map. So hard to kill......
-
If the enemies get too smart, you have Crota. We don't want Crota.
-
We already have smarter enemies, the Reaver Captains at Vosik know you are going to use powerful weapons so they get close to a cliff so that said powerful weapon will knock em over it and then they will teleport back up when you don't expect it.
-
Yess pls. Gears of war 4 did it just right. The modifiers in destiny right now are annoying f when we come to void enemies. They are impossible so we had to find a cheese spot for the strike.
-
As far as smart enemies go what pisses me off is when 2 differnt groups are fighting and you enter those turds decide to become friends add each other on facebook and only focus on you. I'd much prefer an all out war between the 2 enemies groups with you in the middle of it all.

Runescape classic got better PvM than this

Edited by Swiftlock: 10/21/2016 2:46:52 AMKind of hard to make enemies that can take cover and play smartly when they're being assaulted by teams of 3-6 Guardians that are regularly throwing out AoE attacks with huge amounts of ammo capacity. You're essentially wishing that Destiny went in a totally entirely different design direction. If you were by yourself, your abilities were significantly reduced in potency/recharge rate, ammo was more scarce, and there were a LOT of flank spots/cover for enemies to utilize, then maybe that would be interesting, but at that point, you might as well play a different genre of shooter.

Go play The Division

If thats what you think play on a higher difficulty then you can handle on Diablo 3. It makes the game alot more fun.

Agreed, I wish the enemies were smarter, like in Halo
-
Isn't there a cap on enemy damage reduction? I remember in year one you saw changes in damage output/damage taken within 4 levels of the enemy's level. Anything under or over would be capped/floored at the same damage. So the game shouldn't get to the point of being too easy, I think. It just won't get harder after a while.

This.

Yes and no. I like the stupid mobs, but I would love some crazy spec ops ones that were crazy smart and a challenge like some of the enemies in the lore
-
Much more and smarter low levels(red bars) (mobs min of 5 and up to 20 max) more spawns than current. Majors should appear in groups of 3-5 smarter and with more attack options. Ultras and bosses are fine but should have their own versions of supers ontop of regular attacks and be accompanied by squads of Majors.

If only there's was a setting that turned every enemy into a siva servitor, that'd be fun.

First mmo?

More Taken enemies!!
Said no one ever
I just wish the default enemy behavior for every single enemy wasn't "I'm taking damage, oh shit, run and hide behind a rock and don't come out ever", forcing you to go find them. At which point they run again. 😒
