Exotic Engrams not exceeding 391???
After reaching 392 light last night I opened some saved exotic engrams to find all four of them rolling at 391. I didnt open anymore as I didnt want to waste them. Exotics are suppose to roll to 400. Anyone else seeing this? Bug?

2 RepliesI'm having the exact same issue. I'm at 393 light after faction packages, and lots of misc things that got me to 393 including hard mode raid run. Now I have 50 exotic engrams saved in the vault and opened 5 and all 5 were nearly exactly the same as my existing light level in fact the helmet The arms The legs primary weapon secondary weapon exotic Engrams that I opened were only 1 light higher. So I decided to open Strike chests with my 20 skeleton keys and I noticed only a 1 light increase. So I stopped because I didn't want to waste my saved items. The main increase in light so far was the hard mode raid. I haven't even ran the nightfall yet because I want to do that last because that would be a huge increase in light level. I need to figure where the bottleneck is I spent two weeks grinding and hoarding skeleton keys and exotic engrams and I don't want to waste them I need to figure out what to do

Could be worse could be struggling to get past 385

2 Replies391-395 is horrible when using engrams. It looks like bungie created a bottleneck for us hoarders. Can't really say if it's a good or a bad thing.

Happened to me. Seems that once you hit 390 exotics either decrypt at the same or one light level higher. I guess they did not want people to reach 400 in 10 mins. Grind forge until you get a ghost, artifact, and class item at a higher light then decrypt some exotics. Then repeat. Managed to get my warlock to 395. Hopefully the raid gods will be generous with the loot drops.

2 RepliesI've had 393 and 394 stuff decrypt when I was 392. Also got a 397 Artifact drop in Archons Forge while I was 393 light. Just bad luck maybe?
