Question about juggernaut weapon not being correct

Hello, Our gaming group does custom games through system link. We tried to create a juggernaut game where the juggernaut can only use a rocket launcher and all the other folks can only use a sword. So far I have not been able to get it to work. No matter what combination I try, the juggernaut has the same weapon as everyone else. The juggernaut has a delay setting of "3 minutes". When all the people show up on the map, they all have swords. Once a person is chosen at random to be the juggernaut, they still have a sword instead of it automatically switching to a rocket launcher. I had a little hope when I switched the delay setting to "0" seconds. With that change the very first person chosen as the juggernaut actually had the rocket launcher. But as soon as they were killed and a new juggernaut was chosen (the person who killed him), the new juggenaut did not have the rocket launcher. Just a sword. I notice that there are 3 places to change the weapons setting and I tried variations on all 3 places. 1) General settings> Base player traits> Weapons and damage> Primary and Secondary weapons. 2) Weapons and vehicles> Primary and secondary weapons. 3) Juggernaut settings> Juggernaut traits> Weapons and damage> Primary and secondary weapons. I thought it a bit confusing that there are 3 places to choose weapons from. Either way, I assumed when I chose rocket launchers under "juggernaut setting" that they would actually end up having a rocket launcher. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Or is this just a bug that no one has discovered yet? Someone please give it a try and see if it screws up for you as well. Although I don't know if any of you have the luxury of testing it out over system link with 2 or more xboxes. Please let me know if you can help.

[/quote]The only solution I know is to make the Juggernaut unchanging and make it so that the first Juggernaut is determined by first death. In Halo Reach, this is corrected. The person who kills the Juggernaut immediately loses his weapons and gets a Gravity Hammer. In Halo 3, unfortunately, you have to make the Juggernaut unchanging for the entire round. Sorry.

  • You can't make new Juggernauts automatically change weapon sets. They have to keep the weapons they'd been given before they were Juggernaut. The Juggernaut Weapon is the weapon the [i]first[/i] Juggernaut spawns with. All others have to keep their Swords because that's what they spawned with. In order to make your game work, you'd have to make [i]everybody[/i] spawn with both weapons, and use an honor rule that dictates only the Juggernaut can use the Rocket Launcher. That's the only way.
