The Hobgoblin was bored;something thought impossible. After patrolling Freehold for a whole 64 hours and encountering no resistance, the Hobgoblin was wishing that he had just stayed in the tunnels. There had been a few energy spikes he recorded with an acasual signature, but otherwise nothing had happened. Suddenly, a Minotaur went into combat sequence. A Taken Lieutenant had emerged-a Devoured Centurion. The Minotaur ushered the Hobgoblin and the nearby Goblins back, as a Guardian arrived to combat the Centurion. As the Taken forces and Guardians clashed, the Hobgoblin felt something: fear. It's sensors were suddenly overwhelmed, and it backed away, running for an empty building. Stopping inside, a Guardian jumped him. Triggering his reflex, he tried to ask the Guardian to leave him alone. Out of the blue, several Taken showed up. Suddenly, the Hobgoblin found himself fighting back-to back with the Guardian. When the dust settled, the Guardian turned and said, "Thanks. I....at least take this." {No.} The Guardian thought he heard the Hobgoblin speak, but shook his head. "You saved my life." Looking through what he had, he found something good: some old armor and a sniper rifle. "Please do some good with these. And please, don't kill any Guardians." {Understood.} The Hobgoblin made a sound resembling a laugh, and blinked off to try and help the Guardians. {Error located.
