You cannot say those stats mean nothing when shotguns have always been outperforming primaries and have maintained their same incredibly high levels of kills throughout even when Bungie massively reduced the amount of special ammo available. Snipers were never "sit in spawn" and that was never the overall meta clearly as the stats there show. They were about getting in lines of sight and actually using some skill to aim at the risk of getting counter sniped or out maneuvred. Now the changes make it more likely that a sniper has to sit in spawn all match rather than coming out into a more open battleground with a bit of risk. The sniper has dropped progressively and quickly and the gap in between if the game were well balanced should not be as large as it is. I would say fusion rifles are barely viable when shotguns are so rampant as they really only work best in a range where shotguns can still 1 shot but FR's have to charge for a second or 2. I will 9 times out of 10 beat an fr with blink and shotgun or slide out from a corner and shotgun.
