Thorn quest and Titans
Why does it always seem when you have to do kills in the crucible for something it's always void? Do they not realize titans have no void super attack so your just stuck with secondary, heavy, melee and grenade. Meanwhile there's nova bombs and shadow shots going off around me like a room full of children with sparklers and I'm here, just standing inside my bubble, trying to get "X" amount of kills the old fashioned way. Come on Bungie don't discriminate against Titans.

I suck at crucible but with a void shotgun and void grenades I was able to complete the Thorn quest. It probably took about 2 hours to get those void kills in crucible.

Use magnetic grenades Armentarium Predeyths revenge Word of crota Sword breaker Atheons epilogue Truth Any special or heavy with void damage Without having deaths slow progress this quest can be done extremely quick and relatively easy

yeah happened to me with my Dark Drinker sword last year but it was my fault. I CHOSE DD on my Titan - didn't know what was involved. made it much harder than it needed to be!! Luckily, Thorn quest dropped on my warlock!

2 Replies(optionnal: Do crota's end til you get word of crota) Put artefact 'Memory of felwinter' Use a special void with grenadier or army of one on it. Aaaand most importantly: don't complain, at least you got the bounty to drop...

I've been doing it using nothing but a fusion rifle and heavy LMG. I'm at 41% now. Might go a bit quicker if I used grenades. Maybe thagomizers are the way to go too. But yeah, anything void related pretty much screws over my Titan.

lol i never realized ability kills counted. Just did it on my titan with a void shotty and lmg in IB while using sunbreaker! Still it wasn't that bad to do.

Did it a couple days ago on my Titan. Tier 10 felwinter, magnetic grenades, void dedris's retort, truth, and word of Crota. I hate hand cannons now and I'm honestly sorry about all the grenades. Also keep a skeleton key ready for the next part of the quest.

As a Titan main I was not looking forward to this part of the quest, especially as I consider myself a poor crucible player. Went with a void sidearm and Amamentarium to double my void grenades, and was surprised to have the quest done in hour and a half. Nothing more satisfying than getting a double kill with sticky grenades twice in a row.

Memory of Felwinter + Sticky nades on Titans rock. Paired with a void fusion and Truth, I had the bounty done in about 9 games

Ummm, try doing thorn year 1 as a hunter...that is all...(also, so glad I saved a wolfslayers claw with void I got from skolas)

Not sure if that is a proven fact or not, but it seems bungie planned it that way. Took me about 9 or 10 rounds slinging grenades and maining a fusion rifle

I used the artefact that gives me two grenades and melee charges while going for max disp. and strenght, magnetic grenades, no back up plans, void messenger from Y1, void shotgun, and truth. It wasn't that bad. A voidwalker in mayhem can obviously get that part of the quest done a lot faster, but it is still easy enough with every class.

I did it on my Titan last week no problem. Death doesn't set you back, so it's much simpler. Even in year 1, I did it on my Hunter with a green shotgun. The hardest part of the quest is just getting the damn thing.

It is irrelevant that hunters had no void subclass in Y1 because we're in Year 3, where [b]every class[/b] has a void subclass. And by comparison, Titans have the hardest time as of the present state. So yes OP, I understand your frustration. The best thing to do is use magnetic grenades and armor of light on your bubble. This is because kills inside the bubble count as void kills I believe.

2 RepliesI have no sympathy, I did the year 1 Thorn quest on a Hunter and my only void weapon was a blue fusion rifle. This was after fusions had gotten a serious nerf.

2 RepliesPrimary: Atheon's Epilogue Special: Ether Nova (WoTM fusion, if you get one with void, great, if not, don't worry) Heavy: Dreadfang if you're good with swords, or just a void machine gun for the ammo efficiency Artifact: Memory of Felwinter (Armamentarium works too) And then just spam magnetic grenades. Voila.

The thorn bounty in year 1 is why my kd is still not over 1 hahaha. Plus my internet connect. Word of Crota was a god send.
