Bring Full Auto Shotguns on par

Patch 2.4.0 already reduced the angle spread penalty on FA shotguns but I - and probably a majority of the community - want to see the penalty completely removed. There is no reason behind a perk being a disadvantage whereas every other perk in that collumn gives some advantage with no direct drawback: F.e. on the Matador 64 you can get FA which increases the rate of fire but at the same time also increases the bullet-spread which results in a shorter OHK range. Meanwhile, the other perks in that collum (Cascade/Performance Bonus/Spray n Play) all only give you said benefits but don't interfere with your pellet Performance. On shotguns the only thing that matters is the OHK range - at least on the high impact ones that the overall majority of players are using in PVP. So given that FA is the only perk (in that collumn) that negatively affects the most important aspect about a shotgun it automatically becomes an undesirable perk and thus most likely an undesirable weapon. Let our voice be heard so that the FA perk will be changed where it will no longer be a drawback for the weapon. If (intern) tests come to the conclusion that the FA without increased pellet spread is to strong simply reduce the faster rate of fire (from that perk) to some extent but please don't touch it's ability to OHK (bullet spread).

  • It's mostly a top-teir PvE perk... but then again, shotguns haven't been too viable in PvE for about a year now. Full auto's the only thing keeping most PvE-ers from abandoning them at this point. I wouldn't mind a buff to shotguns, but this would definitely cause Bungie to be less likely to consider an overall PvE damage boost without breaking things. They could add an ammo reserve penalty, since that doesn't matter much in PvP, but we all know how much of a community backlash there would be.
