My fellow guardians, Due to some recent info from reliable sources (kotaku, Forbes, ect) it is rumored that Destiny 2 will be a fresh start. It was 100% stated that your progress will carry throughout Destiny IGN If this rumor is TRUE Bungie needs to let us know. We should be given that new update of info as it is a contradiction of what was said in the beginning. So I propose a Destiny wide strike on the day Iron Banner is released. This is a sure way to show bungie we mean business! Character carry over is one thing, but when you get down to it it's the GUNS that make the game. Your character is just a subclass essentially. But we all worked and put hundreds of hours to obtain our gear under the impression we wouldn't lose our hard work come Destiny 2. So join me in showing Bungie that this is OUR game, WE make the game, WE pay to play, WE want our progress!

For your reading enjoyment
LIMITED USE LICENSE: Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use.
And you do know that this community only makes up a small percentage of the overall player base, so even if you get others to join you in this "crusade" - it will barely register. Since you point out stories from the likes of Kotaku and Forbes, but then go on a rant has me wondering if you even took the time to read the articles.. I refuse to read and believe anything from Kotaku, but Paul Tassi (Forbes) article has some good points on why it might not be a bad thing to leave stuff behind and to some degree I agree. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2016/09/28/the-case-for-a-clean-slate-in-destiny-2/#4f3eaeb279f9 While it would be hard to say good bye to the gear we've collected over the 3 (ish) years by the time Destiny 2 is slated to be released - in the long run means we can try new things out without worrying or comparing it that one gun that you've been using since Year 1. If this also includes starting over with a new character - I'm okay with that as well. You seem to be stuck in the "Here and Now" mind-set and not looking at the larger aspect of Destiny. Destiny is more than just a number following the title, but an entire universe that has different stories to be told, and with each story - they have their own protagonist and antagonist and there is nothing wrong with them being different from the characters that we are currently. Hell - we could see Bungie making a story arc where we play as one of the alien races that we're currently fighting. Similar to playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2.
