For a raid weapon that does a little less than expected, you could at least think this would have been easier. The one thing that holds you back from doing this quest is having the proper fireteam, which messes things up.
You can have a ton of friends who get the engine and all that, but when they finish the engine there's nothing you can do but wait...... it begins with the fact that you need a fireteam, with all 3 classes, meaning you can't do it with 3 of the same class. When you are finally done with that, you have to go sync it and when you have no one to do it with, you're stuck right then and there. You need a Warlock, Titan, and Hunter (or just the other 2 since you'll have yourself included) and you have to do the engine together. You begin by typing in your part of it, but if you don't have your fireteam at that point, you're stuck until you DO get a fireteam that not only has the engine, but has different classes. Those are hard by themselves. When you finally get through it you continue going on about it and doing the exact same thing, only to realize that if your team finishes without you, you can't complete the quest. It's less than likely anyone else will be able to get to your part, and when they do, they'll have to go through it too.
I'll say it again, but differently - One of the things that ruins this quest is the fact that you need a fireteam. You can't get the weapon (which by the way, does less than expected) if your fireteam leaves you. And really, it's not like its flawless raider.
Note: If you have the weapon and think I'm butthurt, think again, as this quest is still hard to complete in every way and something has to be done about that. It should be like the sleeper, finding codes and all that. It should be able to be done by yourself. It should be able to have all that, because the weapon actually looks similar to the sleeper simulant. Not everyone is available at a time and not everyone will be able to complete the quest if this is the case.
Please, change this.

I mean for an exotic 390 op weapon as it is I think it's perfect as the lengthy quest makes it even better.
-
The only part I have an issue with is the one of each class in a fireteam. Perhaps three people on the same step would have been better.
-
It's cool and fine for people who have huge clans and friend lists. For those of us who don't, it seems a little ridiculous and unnecessary. I have just resigned myself to the fact I will never get it, and that is fine by me. My experience hasn't been any less from never having a mythoclast.

Gotta love casuals
smh
They can't make everyone happy.
-
I don't mind the actual obtaining of the quest but the fireteam requirements are a bit over the top, especially when you have to resort to LFG for raids.

Edited by Moxxis Playtoy: 9/30/2016 6:31:08 PMI'm just annoyed by syncing it with other classes. I don't mind doing things as a fireteam. But for the love God I can't get pass step 3. Everyone's either step 6, 9 or are in need of a class I am not. I posted everywhere. Xbox LFG, DestinyLFG, reedit, recruitment section, norm forum. I've kind of tried everything.

By the amount of people I've seen with it already I definitely don't think it's too far. Seems every second person I see has it so obviously it's attainable for many I would think.
-
It was smart of bungie to make a difficult quest that brought the community together to try and find the solution. It was very creative. I'm not even close to raid level light but I'm sure when I do the quest it will be fun to complete.
-
It's a cool quest. Had to be data mined imo. The monitor part is absurd. Im actually surprised by how many people have it already. I'll prolly start on it this weekend.
-
I think it's absolutely brilliant. By far one of the coolest quest concepts I've ever seen in a game and I can't wait to see how the raid weapon quests continue to evolve. They bring the community together and it's an extremely positive thing seeing so many people work together. If you want it, you can get it. Join a clan, make some friends, or just ask people for help. This is the same as complaining about not being able to get raid gear without raiding.
-
Its an annoying gate. Glad Math Class figured out and the community built tools to do the equations...i suck at math.
-
All exotics should be obtained from quests like this or the black spindle mission. No RNG. Exotics should have only 1 way to obtain them.
-
Lol are people really complaining about that qiest? Its soo easy just post on lfg and you will find the other 2 classes in no time
-
The ONLY part about it I don't like is that you have to have 3 different classes working together to complete it, otherwise none of you get it. It's not even the fact that you need other players, it's that they each have to be on a different class than you.
-
I feel it is overall very easy and manageable; not NEARLY as tedious as the exotic swords
-
nothing has to change about it, Bungie has already catered to the casual audience enough, you want this pulse rifle you're gonna have to put on your big boy gamer pants.
-
Things are made a little easier once you've already finished the quest, as you can get some replicas of the puzzles from Shiro-4 for free. So it'll just take a bit of time for more people to have the quest or some people who already own the gun to help others out of the goodness in their heart. :] lol
For a raid weapon that does a little less than expected, you could at least think this would have been easier.
They're not going to give you a weapon that is going to reduce the grind. They're terrified at what weapons like that would do in PVP and they don't have the balls to ban certain weapons in PVP or separate PVP function from PVE. The days of endgame loot being TRUE endgame loot are gone with Y1. which is 1 reason I didn't re-up for RoI.

It wasn't hard. Use LfG don't rage. It's easy.
-
Say sleeper was too easy to get so they make a harder quest. Now you say outbreak prime is too hard. You people are wishy-washy

Edited by Deputy 138: 9/30/2016 4:41:17 PMIt's not bad at all man. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Just solo the "killing parts" (strikes, forge, etc), then use lfg to find people to join and sync your engine. It took no more than 5 minutes of searching per sync step (3 in total). It's honestly not a huge deal. Just do the requirments, then lfg for sync.

I'm a 351 Titan. I'll probably won't get to do the quest anytime soon but eventually I hope to do it. If anyone cares to join me on this quest we can be friends now and when we get strong enough complete it. Add me on PSN: Zaphenath-Paneah There. I'm putting this out there so everyone knows and there's no excuse.
-
I have it and it wasn't hard. Try getting a team you trust to help or don't get the gun.
-
Its annoying that they require 1 character of each class. But not that big of an issue. Its unacceptable that they required us to go outside the game to figure out an in game puzzle. However those people on reddit love that sort of thing so I guess they are playing towards a portion of their playerbase.

Nearly half this community can use lfg and/or can't count to five it would seem....
