People saying they won't buy Destiny 2 if you have to start over
Not a troll guys but lets be honest. You'll still buy it.

Edit: thank you for all the replies. Surprisingly there are not many people supporting the 'no reset' camp.
I'd like to see a Mass Effect style carry over. Fresh start with the same character feeling. Good talk guys and gals.

As long as Destiny 2 doesn't have thorn tlw gjallarhorn mida red death suros, or any other exotics from Destiny that they want us to regrind for. And it better have some good lead in, like the cabal go savage on the tower, reef, and temple so our vaults are destroyed.

They are making a NEW game with NEW experiences. If you're going to cry a river because its a fresh start then please keep it to yourself. There are plenty of us that cant wait to get that Year 1 feeling back and a fresh start is what its going to take.

In the Grimoire it was actually pretty damn awesome) and all & all I feel nearly no connection w/my character as he doesn't say shit, is taking the object that ressed says him as gospel and being told to kill stuff, and I'm simply an errand boy/assassin throughout the game. Heres hoping that next game they actually have the story IN the game and make me feel an actual connection to my character.

It just[i] has [/i]to reset in my opinion... otherwise we will be playing nearly the same game for 10 years. You can't really want that...

1 ReplyI hope destiny 2 have a lot content and story mission lines. I don't want cut up content that will be sold to us with DLC add on which Bungie is kmow to do. More quests, bounties, and have complete story to the end instead of leaving us with questions what happen to them ....

People will say anything just for the sake of crying about stuff. Human nature. If you dont buy the new game because your character isnt coming with you.. Well sorry but thats a useless statement. Have fun with destiny 1 I guess when the rest of us will carry on.

I won't buy it if it's as short and empty as vanilla Destiny. Everything else is fair game.

I really hope they leave Destiny 1 behind, lets be honest it has been a shit storm. If they get Destiny 2 right then it could be the start of something great, why have it tied to the crap fest that has been D1, and its DLCs and expansion. Nobody knows anything for sure, for all we know D2 could be about the Golden age so our characters have no relevance at all. I stopped playing in February after putting 1000s or hours in this game, i waited for the Reviews on ROI and it is more of the same and i did not buy it. I hope D2 is a new start and they get it right, then i'll be back.

I don't want to be held back by Destiny 1 because people want to keep their stuff. I'd rather they be able to rebuild the classes, guns, armor, and leveling systems from the ground up. It will be so much better in the long run.
