Spent quite a while waiting for a full team in the fallen SABRE strike, as it was keep dropping me in with only 1 other player, instead of 2. I'm aware sometimes servers have issues, so i was being patient, despite not having long to play.
Eventually, 2 people joined me, (Oo_Stee_A7X_oO and long_sky). Things seemed strange at first, as Oo_Stee_A7X_oO just stood there and started bombarding me with fire team invitations, while long_sky went right up to the main door and somehow managed to enter the warmind without us having to fight the hordes at the top. I found this to be very strange, but we carried on regardless.
We fought through the rest of the level, all the while, Oo_Stee_A7X_oO was bombarding me with invites. Eventually i relented and joined their fire team and we carried on. We progressed to the last bit, and despite a few revives, it was going fine. I utterly destroyed the SABRE with the Iron Gjallarhorn, and it was on its last bit of health when Oo_Stee_A7X_oO decided to kick me from the fire team, as it died. This meant i got none of the rewards for doing the strike after waiting patiently for these two cheating troll fools to come along and spoil it all.
I was raging to say the least, and have reported them both.
I have a few points i'd like to raise about this experience.
First of all, Bungie's reporting system is crap. We need to be able to report players and the specifics of their bad behaviour from within the game, not be sent to a redundant menu of limited options. In order to feel like i'm get something done about it, I had to save a video, upload it to youtube, find a permalink for the specific match, compile a report and send it to bungie, which is just more time being taken up than needs be. Its not often i get to play games, so when i have an hour spare, i really don't want to be experiencing crap like this from neither troll players or Bungie's rubbish reporting system.
Can bungie implement a system similar to GTA5, where bad players, cheaters and trolls all get their own special server to mess with each other, instead of messing with people who actually want to enjoy the game as it is intended? At the end of the day, we all paid for this game, we are all customers, and Bungie has a responsibility to make sure that their customers are satisfied. I am not satisfied with a system where a troll can kick a player at the very last second of the strike, negating the work that particular kicked player put in for rewards.
Surely it would also be possible to implement a block for fire team leaders from kicking people at certain critical points in the game, such as at boss fights when people should be getting rewarded for their efforts?
Check kills here (they should be way higher, but some how long_sky bypassed the first part of the mission, so we didn't fight the hordes at the start after scanning the crashed satellite);

First, you gotta delete their names from the post because you are technically breaking the code of conduct. Even though they are wrong, you will be punished for name and shaming. Secondly, all this is is a valuable lesson as to why you shouldn't join random strangers on a mission you all are already in. The minute he didn't send you an actual message but just kept spamming meant it would be trouble

What pretty much everyone said. I don't really trust trolls, usually they are little kids thinking shit is funny. I have my own team, and if they are not around I just go ahead and play solo and don't even look at invites from randos
-
Never join fireteams. You should know that if you've played long enough.
-
Inb4ban and also this isn't lore. Your fault for joining there fire team. People have tried it with me too and I just block them
-
I had a group kick me as I landed the final blow on the warpreist. I got no rewards.
-
I'm sorry but why join a fireteam when already in the activity , to go to orbit,to load into the activity ? Especially with strangers ? And what were they cheating ? You? The game? I mean the guy was a dick, that's all

Bungie won't do anything, they embrace the trolls and cheaters. Just look at the mess that is the crucible, the elitist cheats are what's keeping this game alive anymore. From the looks of the help area PvE is barely playable now with nothing working right.
-
First offf, youre own fault for accepting the game invite instead of blocking the spammer, And second report to microsoft/ sony instead of bungie. There are actually harsh consequences that way.
-
This is why I never accept random invites. It still sucks they pulled that mess on you though.

This is a clear example of why, as a solo player, I NEVER do activities with two-man fire teams. If I load into a strike or 3v3 game mode with two people in a fireteam, I leave immediately, without question. It sucks that these people can get away with ruining the game for others, but I've never seen any serious action being taken against these types of scumbags, so I guess getting away with it is exactly what they do.
