Yep. Or at least make it a blue weapon, since that is what it essentially is, not as good as a legendary shotgun.

It has basically unlimited ammo reserves, can easily compete with the top-tier legendaries when used by a competent player, and can be used in conjunction with a sniper for dominating all ranges.

Lies. It is no where close to legendaries. Conspiracy theories, party crashers, and matadors outclass it. And if you're using it and a sniper then you're weak at mid range, where most gun fights occur.
