As someone who saw this happen when TTK came out and they introduced new class items then, here is my suggestion. Find a class item that is of the "old style" and use it. If you are not sure what the old class items look like, you can look them up. Basically what is going on is that the "new style" class items do not have their code embedded into the quest's parameters yet. You can use a new year 3 version of an old class item, but it needs to be old school style to work. Aka no endling items for dead orbit or senator or whatever for new monarchy and idk what fwc has lol

Just earn another cloak from your faction and hope it isn't the new style. Then you can use it and all will be good

You can still do it with TTK faction gear as long as it's not the spektar gear.

Yep. Using an old style class item has fixed the problem.
