Xur's Ornaments Are TOO Expensive.
So this week Xur's selling the Superspy Ornament for the Monte Carlo and the Bureau of Aeronautics for the Khvostov. Alright, let's check the price...
25 SILVER DUST
That's 5 WEEKS of Radiant Treasures to get your hands on 1 ORNAMENT FROM XUR.
Please Bungie, we beg you to bring it down to at least 10 Silver Dust. 25 is just WAY too expensive.

Bump like a mofo. This needs to happen. With a price like 25 silver dust, that's basically putting a price of about $10 on each ornament. The way I figure is because it's $5 per 500 silver coins and each radiant treasure on eververse is 200 silver and each dismantled ornament is 5 silver dust. But also factor in that you just might get the ornament you're looking for in one of those 5 treasures. So now you have your left over silver coins that you now likely have nothing to spend it on and no way to "cash out". It's literally online gambling. After all, I did read somewhere that the original concept for Destiny included gambling type games... Oh and I'm sure the parents of America who let their teens play this game are loving the fact that this kind of gambling has been introduced. So great job bungie, keep up the fantastic work.

2 RepliesI have an idea. Three weekly drops. One from strikelist, one from first nightfall, as well as one guaranteed skeleton key, and one from first raid completed per week... And.. No. Sorry. Eff bungie. First raid, not first wrath of the machine. Raids take time and effort and coordination and you should get a relevant reward for completing /any of them/. Even if their armor and weapons aren't, you should get a chance to get something out of them.

1 ReplyOk so like a dummy I bought $30 worth of silver and got the treasure boxes . What the hell I got the same ornaments over and over again ! So ya I got 25 silver dust now but the ornaments Xur is selling are the ones I broke down . It's broken and yes toooooo expensive . They need to make it fair for all not just for the people that can spend the money . They want the game and community to get better , this is one way to do it .

Make it like 50 strange coins or 10 dust. I don't mind the dust but they are just cosmetic items. It's not like it affects gameplay any.

yeah... then you need another 25 silver dust just to use the ornament lol... it's a great idea (ornaments) but a terrible way to implement them... maybe they'll fix it

I got the kvostov artifact xur was selling in my free package but I dont know whether to break it down or use it. I wouldnt hesitate to use it if we could take it out again & break it down for dust if we want to shard the exotic but untill we get something for breaking down exotics equipped with ornaments I dont think ima use the kvostov atleast simply because I think the gun sucks donkey balls & needs a huge buff along with Thorn astrocyte verse & transversive steps I want to feel strong again like before TTK after HoW everything was litterally perfect back then absolutly perfect it was an awsome time to play destiny.

18 RepliesNo. See. They didn't just limit it to 1 a week. They also made it a random item that is heavily biased towards some items, and against others. This is to drive you as a player to buy them. And as to why you can't just buy the ornaments like you do dance animations? They could charge you 10, 20, 50 dollars each... But they honestly believe they would still make less money, even with the die hard fans buying them all at 50 dollars each to be a completionist, that they would still make less money then they do in playing a shell game without telling you they've palmed the coin. See. At 22 items available, you wouldn't see the same item from multiple drops in close proximity if it were truly random. What this means is that the system isn't random, and the ornaments that they know are most desired, are also the ones that will be least likely to drop. Everything in their micro-transactions up to right here, right now, has been justifiable. This, how ever, is nothing but a naked money grab. If ornaments were cheaper. If xur had a new selection each day he's out. If drops were honestly random. If drops came more than one to a box. There are dozens of ways to make the system fair. But People need to start talking about this... And REAL fans.. Not the toddlers who throw a tantrum every time somebody takes an issue with an aspect of the game... But REAL fans who don't want to see Destiny 2 turned into nothing but a tool for driving micro-transactions need to start now saying "no I think you need to do this differently." If you don't. Everything in Destiny 2 will just be junk and for everything that's interesting you'll just have to pay more, more, more... And Destiny 2 will be subtitled "The search for more money".

3 RepliesNo They should be really hard to get and really rare. Its basically like getting an exotic in Y1 before Xur sells it. If you make them too easy to get then everyone will have them and they lose their appeal. They should feel special and rare. Nothing in Destiny feels like that anymore.

1 ReplyYou know the best way to tell Bungie we don't care for their microtransactions? DON'T SPEND MONEY ON MICROTRANSACTIONS. That being said, some of the skins are pretty cool looking and I understand the OP's gripe. Am I going to pay for silver, to pay for dust, to pay for a skin? Most likely not.

In 6-7 weeks you'll have enough silver to buy anything Xûr sells or you may get what you want before. To me it's just a skin that look good. That being said I'll never buy anything except for emotes.
