How does a Stormcaller get grenade kills?
I finally decided I might finish out my Fulminator quest since I had to go into Crucible to get Head Buffs. However trying to get grenade kills is a painful process, and not for the side it should be. Storm Grenade and Arcbolt are too slow to activate and the target ends up leaving their range before it can go off. Pulse Grenade is more reliable but does too little damage because no one is stupid enough to stand in it for more than one pulse. "Prepping" usually results in me getting killed instead because i'm trying to keep my opponent alive, or a hero on my team swoops in for the kill.
Got any tips on what I should be doing to net grenade kills with the Stormcaller? Build, Loadout, general tactics and such. I'm already using Grenadier and Voidfang Vestments.

You could try using a strategy. That might help.

You have to set up your Warlock so that your lighting chains at the maximum rate. Also realize that none of your grenades have the ability to kill a Guardian at full strength. So you need to be looking at using your grenades to FINISH OFF players who have already taken damage. For example....you get into a 1v1...and you get the upper hand. So the guy tries to either go for cover....or disengage and run away. Instead of giving chase...or waiting around for him to heal....you throw an arcbolt after him, and let the grenade finish him off.

Another good one is to enter a mayhem game mode w teams and wait for heavy ammo. Throw storm grenade on the heavy ammo w arc web in the subclass and prosper lol

3 RepliesEasy. Throw an Arcbolt, immediately hit them with thunderstrike. The Arcbolt will hit a split second later and kill them.

Got mine done a couple of weeks ago using Storm Grenades in Mayhem Clash. It took a while but got it done

Also take advantage of other guardians weakening the enemy
