I like where you were going about guardians not fully revived and such... After that, it was a bit down hill to me.
1) Why would these guardian husks be our enemies? (I apologize if I may have missed this in the post)
2) If they are unable to be fully reformed, why give them deformities? Like the hunter, for example. Why rewrite his atomic structure to give him a dagger instead of trying to fully fix him?
3) I'm not big on the supernatural stuff, so, if these things are walking smokes, why are they any concern?
I'm sorry if this came off over critical. It's just some things that I feel should be, if not already, explained.
