There is a cover system in destiny. You have to crouch behind cover and then ads. Guerilla fighter will proc only if your guardian is able to aim over the cover. There isnt much cover or objects in the environment to do this. Imo it s still a waste of a slot in the perk tree.

What are you talking about? There are hundreds of places guerilla fighter can be used. You just don't know about them because you probably just rush head first into everything.

you're right, by the time you think about crouching,moving to cover and ads either your back is blown off by a Crasher or as soon as you peep up you're gonna see the red dot of death. No room for it in a large majority of PvP maps and it is very very very situational. Only time I've used cover is war priest & vaulus. You have better chances of survival with kneepads sliding to cover.
