Iron banner bounties have been removed
I purposely saved brown and green bounties for the past 3 IB to turn in.
If you guys were planning on removing them, it would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could get the marks at least.

Ah, man. I noticed the same thing. I needed just three more Heavy Weapon kills on one brown bounty. That would have been a fairly easy 25 marks for me. Poof! Gone.

1 Reply150(225 if you had them on all 3 characters) legendary marks, ??? crucible Rep?, EXP for Weapon/armor/lvl bar... all gone. 15 bounty slots saved up for 2 months for nothing. hard to not take that as a kick in the junk. between saving the marks to buy possible vendor guns and trying to reach lvl 5 IB rank sooner so that you have a slight increased chance to get the IB jump-ships to drop from your matches, not a guarantee just a slightly greater chance while you grind out the matches for IB loot anyway. what was logical forethought and planning was reduced to wasted effort without the warning that all that effort would be instantly discarded. even if you didn't save the bounties it should be hard to argue that this was a low blow on bungie's part. the "what did you expect? its Bungle, its what they do." really doesn't hold bearing on the salt inducing miscommunication that this has turn out to be...

6 RepliesSo many of you could have been enjoying much faster rep gain and legendary mark turnover in ttk if you hadn't have been clogging up your bounties slots with IB bounties. Green IB bounties didn't even drop legendary marks, so why the hell wouldn't you just turn them in for rep in IB? As for the Golds - I get where you are coming from, a warning would have been nice - however this was always a risky proposition. You knew that in the TTK switch over that bounties auto completed so you were always just hedging your bets in hope that they didn't auto complete this time. And given that Bungie are KNOWN to be [b]trolls[/b], expecting a warning from them is pretty dumb from the start. Faced with the choice between being helpful and seeing your face after they pull a practical joke, Bungie will always opt for the practical joke. And I can't fault that.

Once again Bungie show that they have no idea how to properly interact with their community I'd hedge my bets it is was purposely done to stop people spending all their marks on acquiring new gear from the start, which in turn means more grind = more playtime I swear year 2 has just been full of cheap tricks and tactics to increase our playtime in this game. Quite glad I havent pre-order RoI yet, dunno if I can be bothered anymore with Bungie........... they do my head in

I've defended this company from the very f**king start even through the April update, well f**k it, it's not worth it anymore, they continue to make me look like a dumb c**t with every update, I don't care anymore, f**k this game.

I don't see the removal of the bounties being significant. Should they have warned you? Absolutely, they should have given everyone a warning even if they really didn't know people were saving these (which is most likely the case because I don't usually hoard bounties, I turn them in xD. Plus I don't know anyone who holds on to them outside of almost everybody on this thread.). Ultimately, you're gonna have to move on. There will probably many ways to earn legendary marks quickly as there always has been. Especially if you have saved legendary engrams, they're 3 a piece if you don't infuse them. Rise of Iron will be out for awhile so you'll be able to get all the vendor stuff you want in due time. :)

I lost mine as well. I didn't expect them to impact the new IB rep; I simply wanted the marks. Would have cashed them had I known they were going to be deleted without prior notice.

Yeah a little bummed here too. I new I wasn't going to rank with them, but taking the marks really? That's 225 marks wasted. A more defined warning would have been nice
