Iron banner bounties have been removed
I purposely saved brown and green bounties for the past 3 IB to turn in.
If you guys were planning on removing them, it would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could get the marks at least.

Figured a second reply would bump again lol but I just had a great idea. Bungie has had ask us questions events before. If they had done that and do it before any update they would get some great feedback on things to consider. From the video they obviously asked but reinforcement doesn't hurt

I feel ya but people always complain about lack of content but when they are about to release people prep to blitz/cheese the through the content as fast as possible. still kinda crap they yoinked them they could have auto turned them in or something.

4 RepliesThat's really disappointing. I've been saving those bounties for months because I don't get around to playing much Iron Banner so I was holding onto them to just hold onto them. No real reason. I was holding onto the weekly one where you need the top overall score - seeing as I'm not the best player and have only got that medal a handful of times, I was keeping it as a mark of achievement. I sincerely would have liked to at least get the marks from that hard-earned bounty. :( I'm okay with them removing them, I would have loved to have a chance to cash them in first.

21 RepliesAm i the only one really confused about why everyone is so upset about this? i mean, yeah, you lost a bunch of marks, nig whoop. its not like they are hard to get, ive stayed maxed out in marks pretty much all of TTK, and i used them a lot. If anything, im glad those hoarding them lost them. mainly for the whole reason that it just makes it easier for you guys to get vendor weapons, which isnt that fun in my eyes.

I have intentionally not turned in any gold iron banner bounties for the last 4 months as a safety net for the times I am limited on being able to complete all 3 characters to rank 5. alternatively those bounties were also a storage of marks being we are capped at 200, I used 1 gold bounty (25 marks) last iron banner to make sure I got all the weapons he was offering that week. I have every gun in the game, with the rolls I prefer on them. I have 6 stacks of each material, and sitting at 180 marks now. I have no use to use marks, so why play or continue until Rise of Iron? Its not acceptable practice to remove a reward earned (yes trolls, earned. be it difficult or not, earned is the correct word as it took a users action, effort, and time to acquire and complete said goal.) without breaking the EULA from the game without first giving notice of action being taken giving the player the option to let them sit and be removed without reimbursement of experience and currency or to spend them prior to removal date. It is a breach of trust between consumer and business. Also noting that this was discussed at length and Bungie said no bounties would be removed. The ethical standing on this alone is appalling. I am fine with them being removed, great be gone. However, the rewards of the bounties need to be compensated like what was done on daily story missions showing up in the postmaster as a unknown benefactor resulting in the awarded currency being given appropriately to those who have legitimately achieved it. Each gold bounty removed needs to be accommodated the way doing the daily missions were accommodated by giving a 25 mark reward per completed bounty removed without consent or notification. Lastly for those claiming it to breeze through the game in 2 days, go away. The fact is we were told no removal would occur and they were removed without notification. At most its an additional 1.35 vendor items once patched, hardly game breaking but is beneficial for those willing to not turn them in and wait until patch, I'm sure you would have held them also if you could think past today. If you don't want a slight benefit going into the expansion, that's fine good for you. Most of the rest of us want to be ready to run the raid Friday morning and this 1.35 items will save us roughly 6 hours of farming again hardly game breaking.
