Uh...what now? Hand cannons are overpowered? Have you tried using one in the Crucible lately? You get nuked by just about everything, not just the Grasp.

 • I never said they were overpowered my friend. And if you read I also mention HRoF pulse rifles. I'm saying these weapon types are simply better effectively making some others useless.

 • Well...not sure why you would propose nerfing an entire weapon archetype if you didn't feel that it was overpowered. But I will take your word for it.

 • Not "nerf" I mean adjust accordingly. Just so that all weapon types are more useable. My bad for the misconception. :(

 • Call it an adjustment if you like. But taking a weapon and increasing its time to kill by 50% is certainly a nerf. You might ask...'where did you get that 50% number?'. Well, I will tell you. The first shot from a weapon requires no additional time...you may be ADS looking for a target and simply pull the trigger once you have one in your sites. Now the timer starts before you can fire the second shot. For hand cannons, this includes not only the weapon's fire rate, but also the time entailed in waiting for bloom to resolve. Once this time has elapsed, you fire again. You then wait that same time and fire a third time, and if you were precise your target is down. Your TTK is essentially the combined two waiting periods between the first and second shots, and the second and third shots. Two waiting periods determined by fire rate and bloom. You want to add a third such waiting period. Going from two and adding one is a 50% increase. If increasing a weapon archetype's TTK by 50% isn't a nerf, I don't know what is.

 • You're correct. This would significantly increase TTK. And alter the weapon's performance and effectiveness. So perhaps this is not the way to go. I do address the idea that this maybe isn't the way to go in my post. All I want is the ability to use any weapon archetype in PvP reliably. So maybe the bigger issue isn't that high impact hand cannons and HRoF pulse rifles are seemingly so good. But that everything else is lacking. In the end though we simply have to wait to see what Bungie decides is the issue to address and change.
