They're fine. If anything they need to two-shot since they fire so frickin slow. Of course there would need to be a massive recoil or lower the fire rate to the lowest possible value.

  • Been here since Day1 and didn't have any complaints. Thorn was countered with Red Death after the pulse rifle buff and if I got two tapped by RD or TLW I just pulled mine out and fought back or stayed at a distance.

  • I'm not saying it was uncounterable. I'm saying shooting 2 bullets and having a guaranteed kill wasn't much fun for anyone. That's why there aren't primaries that can consistently do that anymore.

  • And that's a problem. Imo primaries are so watered down it rarely matters (within reason of course, I certainly wouldn't try using a First Curse to outgun a Last Word at who can land three headshots first) which gun you use if they all take three headshots to kill your target. Take the Spare Change archetype. To my knowledge this no longer two bursts and thus is virtually useless against a Hawksaw type that also three bursts but has a significantly higher ROF. There needs to be more risk/reward in crucible IE. An archetype that can two shot or burst if all shots are headshots but fires so slowly that if even one bullet is a bodyshot (or god forbid you miss) then you're dead to rights as your target kills you with a higher ROF three shot/burst weapon.

  • That's exactly what I want! I would love absolute diversity and all archetypes being at least usable. Right now there simply are some that are virtually useless.
