Having the hardest time!
Light level 304 warlock. Can't seem to find better gear. Original player, but took a year break due to lack of Internet. No hate, just trying to figure out what to do. We seem pretty stuck over here 😩

I did crucible. Last IB I got my first 335. Chest peice

Another important tip i don't yet see in the responses : Court of Oryx. Other than the raid, it is the only place to get artifacts that are legendary and higher light than what you have. Do your weekly Eris bounty chain (they just show up when you are on the dreadnaught) and kill the random Taken bosses that spawn on other destinations to get runes. If you are the one to present an Antiquated Rune you are guaranteed a higher light legendary artifact. At 304, you aren't quite primed to stomp your way through Challenge of Elders, but you can more than hold your own. Get a team from recruitment or Destiny LFG .net or .com, or one of my favorites the fireteam Reddit. The weapons from the 30k rewards package and the armor from the 90k rewards package will be higher light than your level (until you hit 335, are which point you get a lot of 334).

Leveling factions will give you better gear until 330 but takes alot of time. Challenge of elders was the easiest way for me to hit 335. Way less frustrating than the raid, in my opinion.

Just the general endgame stuff should level you up, it'll be a tough grind, but it'll work

Get some 3'o coins from Xur. Use found duplicate exotics to infuse the legendary gear up. Court of Oryx run Antiquated runes. Shaxx weekly bounties Nightfall Kings Fall raid Level up factions Level up the gunsmith Do that and within a week you should see improvement.

Just play Vanguard heroic strikes with a Vanguard booster. This way you will get a lot of loot from the strike and Level up your Vanguard and Faction. The items that drop from their packages are higher than your current ones. If you combine this with 3oC you can also get some Exotics on the way. When you turn the packages and engrams in ALWAYS make sure to wear your highest light level gear. Good Luck guardian.

Easiest way is to run the strike playlist, you'll get engrams and boost your rep and get packages with high light gear. Also buy 3 of coins from xur for exotics which will decrypt at high light. Also do the shaxx weekly bounties for nightfall level rewards.

Iron banner. But i think you missed that. Faction rep is also good to get gear uo to 330 Anyway in the expasion, you will soon get a higher light level ;)
