It technically is normal now. It didn't start vanilla with HCR

https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/12433 Patch 1.1, 1 December 2014. MIDA Multi-Tool MIDA rounds now have increased knockback against targets in both PvE and PvP
-
Wrong...intrinsic perk was always there...until everything besides twitchbaitsnipers got nerfd. Then, after nearly 2 years of unchanged anonymity, it became op...lol. absurd.
-
Yes it did. It was its Hidden perk. Like how Ghorn has grenade and horseshoes without actually having the perk on the skill tree. Or how Thorn can penetrate targets and hit multiple enemies with a single shot.
-
No. They added it in to make it wanted and good. I believe with the HoW patch
-
The Scout Rifle meta didn't really show up until How because the Thorn/Hawkmoon meta took 8 months to kill. So a lot of people didn't really use MIDA until then. It's had hidden HCR since vanilla. It's just sad how nerfs caused by PvP shenanigans affect PvE.
-
Incorrect MIDA had that has a hidden perm since vanilla. https://youtu.be/ztK6Xj8IMjE this video was made before house of wolves was released last year and it shows how the MIDA could stagger enemies
-
No it was confirmed since the beginning when all the Destiny weapon testers kept seeing how certain weapons worked.
-
It has always had it as a hidden perk, i used to use it to stagger majors in vanilla
