Bungie does not disclose details or overturn Bans or Restrictions. If you are "Restricted" it is temporary. If you are "Banned" it is permanent. You can find all the details on Bans and Restrictions at their OFFICIAL POLICY ARTICLE

Edited by zombiehaddock: 8/30/2016 5:04:56 PMBungie's disgraceful position to ignore people's right to fair trial is a rather vile and sinister act that is repeated throughout the gaming industry. The disdain it demonstrates for other people is disgraceful. The principle to fair trial is guaranteed under the human rights act yet these companies whose employees benefit greatly from the act completely ignore the principles of it when it suits them for money, no other reason. Abject greed. I'm aware of course that their are people out there who will not compare the principle but rather state that death by firing squad in a dictatorship isn't the same as being banned/suspended from a game. Now I'm probably not able to change their mind but others may. My view is that withholding a right to fair trial is censorship.
In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. Thomas Jefferson

Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever. Noam Chomsky

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. Martin Niemöller
Edit: So I believe in principle that someone should be able to defend themselves and have access to evidence against them so they can refute it. I believe that as Bungie staff themselves enjoy these rights they should extend them to others. Very much along the lines of treat others... Seemingly this idea is irrational to some people and they have told me I am irrational by calling me a lunatic, a paranoid schizophrenic amongst other things. Well calling people irrational using such hyperbolic terminology is in my eyes epitomises their irrational behaviour. If you think the current system Bungie employ is reasonable and fair then that is your opinion. I don't agree with it but we are not arguing whether 1+1=2. There is no absolute fact here. It is opinion.

I live in The Netherlands and when we get Italian players against us in CoD or in Destiny, we know that it will be a lag feast. Mostly Italians are lagging big time. So maybe there were a lot of complains against you lagging/ you being red bar? Maybe your internet is just good, but your ISP is connected to a bad PSN server? Maybe you are the host every time, while you should not be? But you are probably banned, because you lag/ yo have red bar.
-
The Bungie server has been acting up, tons of people are getting weak connections to Destiny and they are blaming/banning the customers for it. Sorry. Im avoiding crucible until they fix the error codes/connection issues just because im afraid of a ban.
-
U obviously had to do something :3
-
You played crucible with poor internet connection or cheated. Bungie reviewed your account and gave you a 1 week suspension. This 1 week is intended to give to time to rectify the problem. Use the time wisely.

Edited by KannibalKlown: 8/27/2016 3:50:36 PMLikely you were red barring in a bunch of consecutive matches sometime in the last 1-2 months Packet loss and router mis configuration can play into things not reflected in your basic test. Destiny is very "picky" about how things are set up. If anything is too off the charts with the console / network setup then it will suffer. The most common issues are wifi or ports being blocked

fill sorry for you dude either you were on the receiving end of the ahole players of destiny or the error codes are screwing you over

Edited by KingJamos: 8/27/2016 8:35:54 PMWhat Bungie doesn't seem to realize is when someone is restricted from something without telling them why, what the player reads is: "You have been restricted for no reason. There is nothing to be done to prevent this from happening again. Have fun not accessing content." So yeah, bad practice.
-
Were you playing with a fireteam of someone with bad internet? Such as doing Trials with a red bar friend?
-
See that thread at the top of the page ^^ , read it and take some of that guys solid advice , you've got a week to get it dealt with 😉

Hey there, In Destiny, there are 2 ways Bungie addresses Users that show misconduct. This is through Account Bans and Restrictions. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. Bungie does not discuss or dispute either of them. If you're questioning a Account Ban or Restriction, the link below could be the answer as to why you were banned or restricted. Please keep in mind that Poor or Unstable Internet Connection does qualify for a Restriction or even Ban in serious instances. All relevant information can be found here: https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies/en/Help/Article/11929 Hope this helps!
