Money going to children who don't even make it to 8.... In my opinion such a waste of money i rather have that go to homeless children with no terminal disease and find them a place to live and go to school. Sounds harsh but its the truth research facilities have more than enough and those charities have more than they need since rich people donate to them for tax breaks like bungie and all the streamers will do with this donation. Not to mention St judes is probably the richest one of them all and the ones rich people pick to donate. Edit: all I'm saying is this kids have more than enough luxuries because rich people decided to donate to get a tax cut while no one donates to those children living in the streets because their parents abandoned them or parents went broke. Sadly many of those cancer kids won't make it to 10 and all those thousands of dollars go to waste when it could of gone to children who still have a chance to make a difference in society and benefit it. To am extent I believe in all human lives are equal but if we put on a scale to spend 10k on a single child instead of helping many children to give them a chance just sounds foolish and unlogical. Let me put it this way I agree with what your doing how towards something or someone who needs it but if it's going in your pocket then what your doing is illegal cause your makeing money off a product that ain't yours. I do mean your makeing money off of destiny which is a product of bungie an funded by Activision. In other words if you are not part of either company an you are useing a product that isn't yours to make that money you should be sued or arrested for what you have done. But if your doing it for charity's technically it's not illegal but still pretty bad because bungie or Activision can still get you cause you made money for other off of there product. While I do agree that this was an awesome thing, there is a video with Gothalion, Broman and some other dude stating the donations are going to St. Jude's AND funding Destiny Community Con (which is today, in my hometown).. so you're not 100% accurate in saying all the money goes to charity, but most of it is. The other part is going to a supposedly pretty cool event. Edit: The rest of the proceeds from [u]ticket sales[/u] go to the charity. I knew something was getting split, just wrong on which thing. To the people saying that the streamers just did it for publicity, think about this- the nature of this event was to get as many people involved to [i]donate[/i] possible. If the big name streamers didn't do this publicly, would we even have raised half of this amount?

Bungie needs to reevaluate their forums. Some of these comments are really shameful & beyond pathetic. The last thing this community needs is more of these trolls.

Really good job. The comments really expose the low quality of people on the forums unfortunately, and not just a few. Bungie needs to wake up to the fact that permabanning all these types will result in a more healthy and active forum, they don't come off expansive for tolerating things that should not be tolerated, it's as inexcusable on their part for enabling it.

Just be sure to check in the tax implications of this. You probably want to save any proof that this money isn't income for many years to come. Good job and hope the little guardians get the help they need.
