Unable to join fireteam - same network

I am still unable to join the fireteam of my brother - we are both on the same internet connection and haven't been able to join each other's groups in at least a month since an update was applied and the problem first arose. Bungie said they were aware of the issue and were investigating, but it appears as though the problem still hasn't been fixed?

  • There are no fixes. Bungie broke it when they tried to fix the beaver problem. I've tried everything. It may work occasionally, but it's only good for one session. There has been no news since they posted the thread. Fact is, they don't care and we're to small of a group affected for them to care. I'm with you on not buying Rise of Iron.

I posted in other thread , try it , working for me. last week I trying to understand this problem, on this week I found a method and working 100% for me and my brother in the same network. How is this? Well first open the game normally, and try to join to the team everyone, and destiny shows the error message... Together press PS button and exit game And Together open de game , and together choose char, and try join to team. In my case I can play every day with my brother with this method, no need open ports and no need NAT just try this. I thankfully if any person try this method and share if work

  • Seriously, we've been playing the game for 2 years with no issues, and now we can't even get in the same party - that's a real game-changer for us as that's generally how we both play, seriously considering cancelling the preorder for RoI as if this continues to be a problem, it's not worth me spending the cash.

    • I found the fix for this problem. Everyone who has multiple Xboxes or PlayStations in there home need to name there devices on Xbox under system settings so that the network in there home can recognize them as separate entities not a single one. They need to have different names.

      • Hey there, Currently, Bungie is aware and actively investigating the issue. You can find current updates and information in the Marionberry, Canary, and Local Network Fireteam Issues pinned thread. Make sure your home network is properly configured by following instructions in the 'Allowing Destiny Connections' KB article. After attempting the above, you can provide Bungie additional information by following instructions in the pinned thread, Apologies for the inconvenience.
