  • I agree. Make the game more like it was in Y1. 1. Bring back ALL Y1 gear. 2. Remake strike list to be like it was in Y1. Heroics were just a step under nightfalls, but were often harder because they had no burn, but you only had to do 3 a week to get guaranteed strange coins. The other strikes can be set for matchmaking at specific light levels - OR you can select a specific strike and run it at ANY difficulty level you want! 3. Make exotics less common. I wasn't first on board with this idea until I thought about it and it definitely makes sense. If we want exotics to be more powerful, we need them to be less common. 4. I think legendary gear should also be less common IMO, as it was in Y1, but we should have the ability to reroll it like we did in HoW. Also, it seemed like in Y1 the average roll we got on legendary gear was MUCH better than in Y2 - due to the fact we had less undesirable perks. 5. The chase for elemental primaries and elite-level exotics like G-horn and Icebreaker. Nuff said. Give us a reason to repeatedly complete endgame content! 6. This may be unpopular, but get rid of planetary materials from vendors, quadruple the spawn nodes in patrol, and increase the spawn rates of the materials, as well as the minions in patrol. It may have gotten tedious sometimes, but once you were done your raids and nightfalls/weeklys, farming materials and completing bounties was a relaxing thing to do, and you could even get it done while you waited for your fireteam to get online. 7. Make public events relevant again. I want good reasons to kill those important targets, or to defend those warsats. Scale these things in difficulty depending on number of guardians present, and let the rewards also scale up with difficulty. Allow them to drop strange coins, big bundles of planetary upgrade materials (25-50), armor parts, weapon parts, exotic shards, etc. There's no need for these to be completely irrelevant. 8. Rework bounties. I thought bounties were fine as is in Y1, though I do not object to them granting more rep to increase your vanguard standing. I actually think in addition to how they work now, bounties ought to be the main way of earning glimmer. Rather than running strikes repeatedly, I should be able to go pick up some bounties, complete them, and end the day with an extra 10-15k glimmer in my pocket, with an occasional, random boss bounties (storline missions OR strikes) that are worth a full 25k + a chance at an exotic engram! Also, can't believe I'm saying this, but I kinda miss the "Complete 6 patrol missions on (Planet)" bounties. 9. In-patrol bosses. Not like the taken zealots which were a pain because you had to find the lieutenants to engage the boss (and they were often invisible if you were on venus!) but make it more like the prowling wolves. Those encounters were difficult, but fun. 10. While we're on the topic of patrols, lets just open it up to 6 man fireteam patrols. Seriously, people used to go into the VoG raid and then go out to the rest of venus just to have 6 man fireteams hunting the wolves. We should be able to do this on every planet.
