Separate Playlist for Guardians after Going Flawless
What I am suggesting here is that characters who have gone flawless that weekend would be placed in a separate playlist from the normal trials playlist. This would only be per character per weekend. You can still do the bounties and the daily gold tier bounty just on a flawless playlist. This would still allow for competition against normally flawless players in the normal trials playlist but also allow for new guardians to experience the lighthouse by allowing for further competition against other guardians who haven't reached the lighthouse that weekend.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?
Edit1: So I may not have made this clear, but what I am suggesting is that all players will play on the same playlist for trials until that character achieves flawless victory. I am simply stating that once that character goes flawless that weekend and they wish to continue playing that they play in a separate flawless playlist.
Edit2: Changed the title to better encompass the idea I'm trying to get across. People don't like long pieces of text.

6 RepliesSo basically have an easy mode? By the time you got to Monday night only the scrubs would be left. Not going to happen. Trials is supposed to be really hard and that ain't gonna change anytime soon. I've never been flawless because I'm not prepared to put the practise in. I accept that and move on. Everyone else should too. If the completion rate for trials was really low, and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's not, then Bungie would do something.

Nah, just keep trying until you finally go flawless. You guys should stop asking for easy mode for everything.

I don't think that it would be a good idea. If they did that then eventually everyone would go flawless without any effort. It's not meant to be something easy that anyone can do.

No. Leave trials alone. It's sweaty as hell. Hard as hell and takes teamwork and communication. I suck so bad at it but love playing it. If anything make it harder.

Well let's say I go flawless on all three characters and a friend of mine hasn't and he/she needs my help. Would I be placed in a regular Trials playlist or that "special" one you're talking about?

I absolutely agree. I've had this exact idea since early Trials. If not this exact idea, then something of a similar effect.

I appreciate that people don't get the point. The system is incredibly broken with both sbmm and the win tier ranking system. There is nothing wrong with helping a friend go flawless. There is a problem with stacking your team because you know your friends will never go flawless. Changing the playlist will not just allow everyone into the lighthouse. We are ACTIVELY working against a matchmaking system who is dead set on us losing 3-4 of those matches. My friends and I haven't gotten past 5 wins in almost four months now. Also comparing to raid sherpas is really flawed. Me completing the raid doesn't mean 21 people can't complete the raid. If bungle was working towards refining their sbmm qualifiers to be more competent then this wouldn't be a problem.

7 Repliesnever work... all they will do is switch characters and not go flawless anymore.. just not use boons and stop at 7 wins. The system will always be manipulated. You have to make it account level, not character.

I play Trials for fun even after going flawless, I choose to play sweaties if I keep my flawless card or start from scratch if Im helping friends out. There is nothing wrong with trials, people complain about carries but dont complain about people who do the raid for them and stuff, yet helping friends in Trials its a sin?? Common. The rule its simple, practice and you'll get better, stop bitching about things being hard, thanks to people like you we now have primaries who take 3 minutes to kill because some cant be bothered on getting better.

Unfortunately, correct sbmm is the only solution. The best players dont like it, but its the only way. Or, make it year 1 random matches again, not win based. Otherwise, better players that farm and streamers just work the current system. These elitest -blam!-s are ruining the game.

The stat and elo farming players are really going to take advantage of this.... Also, the better players can just wait until Monday for an easy run.

We talk about something like this a lot. Something should be done. Maybe a normal mode and hard mode trials with gear appropriate rewards... Many libel trials but just need a more level playing field to get some momentum and practise going before comming across some of the great players out there..
