What I am suggesting here is that characters who have gone flawless that weekend would be placed in a separate playlist from the normal trials playlist. This would only be per character per weekend. You can still do the bounties and the daily gold tier bounty just on a flawless playlist. This would still allow for competition against normally flawless players in the normal trials playlist but also allow for new guardians to experience the lighthouse by allowing for further competition against other guardians who haven't reached the lighthouse that weekend.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?
Edit1: So I may not have made this clear, but what I am suggesting is that all players will play on the same playlist for trials until that character achieves flawless victory. I am simply stating that once that character goes flawless that weekend and they wish to continue playing that they play in a separate flawless playlist.
Edit2: Changed the title to better encompass the idea I'm trying to get across. People don't like long pieces of text.

We talk about something like this a lot. Something should be done. Maybe a normal mode and hard mode trials with gear appropriate rewards... Many libel trials but just need a more level playing field to get some momentum and practise going before comming across some of the great players out there..

If it's tiered I won't go flawless, if it's SBMM I'll team up with someone who had like a .2 KD. There's no way to make it any easier, it's about running a plan and using decent strategy that's all. Win based is the best thing about trials, many of us like those hard games towards the end of a run

Tier list is needed based on ToO card. 1-100 ((and it can increase based on the community feedback)) Each reward a uniq shader, emblem, skin. You move from tier to tier on how many time you've completed a card ((9 wins)) +1 Tier for every card completed. -1 Tier for every card dismantled or lose 3 times. For example xx360nOsCoPexx is Tier 43 because he completed 42 cards he have a Lv 43 shader, emblem and skin to show ppl he has completed 43 cards. The light house should be available to anyone who get 9 wins. Only players of the same Tier can play with each other and keep WBMM to co-exist with Tier system. Just my 2cents.

Edited by Scorpion XV: 8/24/2016 9:18:15 AMOkay, so the point of this flawless/non-flawless split is to give mediocre players, such as myself, a fair chance to go flawless. Correct? I see a problem with your idea. The elitists will just choose to stay in the non-flawless section of ToO to ensure they keep the lighthouse to themselves. To me it sounds like a losing battle. I personally don't like the way ToO is designed but accept that Bungie doesn't care and won't change it. I gave up on doing good in the PvP a LONG time ago.
Which was about six months into the first year.
*edit* Also people who want to spite you will always find a way.

Edited by FSUxGLADIATORx: 8/24/2016 9:53:05 AMI dont think this is a good idea. If you aren't good enough to win your matches against who you are matched against, you shouldn't be catered to. You should be forced to practice and get better, instead of waiting for all the players better than you to go flawless.
-
What if I've been flawless all 3 times but 2 of my friends haven't and I want to play with them?
-
They should make it like in Y1 Let me decide when I want to activate the mercy etc.
-
Still feel like they should have a trials of Osiris Singles where it's one vs one. No carries. No ringers. No second chances. Finally anyone can play, and your only hope for winning is being faster, smarter, better than the other player. Keep the 3 v 3 model for people who want to get carried, and then have this for people who want to go it alone.
-
100% agree. Trials has become a bore fest in year 2
-
Make trials primary only for one weekend. No ammo drops, no icebreaker, no Melee, no grenade. Just primaries
-
My feeling is that once you go flawless on a weekend you should get bumped up to another tier for the remainder of the week. Honestly my biggest issue is playing against red bar warriors after we get to about 4 wins. It never fails we are doing well then after that it is always 1 or 2 red bars on the opposing team. Also if you have a bad connection trials should locked out. If this is truly end game then it should remove the benefit of lag. I still wonder wtf happened with damage referee as it seems to have never worked.

People here saying flawless should be earned. Every time I play trials I go up against people who are on their 8 match, but....once we get defeated only two or one of them go flawless. Why? Because the third guy is the one doing the matchmakimg. He probably has 1 or 3 wins. Everyone is just doing this. Have two good players and one crap player with a new passage keep doing the matchmaking. Yeah. Trials is totally earned when all you go up against are OK to bad players.
-
No. I haven't been flawless but if or when I do I would like to feel, like I beat a bunch of people who have before
-
Would be funny to see the try hards put up against other try hards There would be salt on the forums
-
How about once you go flawless you then receive a second trials passage, this next card requires you to get 5-0, but receive better flawless gear (say tier 12 stat rolls). Note you only get this card once per character per week, not per flawless. Just a thought :)

Brilliant idea
-
Nah, matchmaking will still find a way to match you against a team that goes flawless on the regular but hasn't yet that weekend
-
I think this is a fantastic idea. It's kinda like the old halo games ranked playlists. You play a certain number of games and it gives you a rank in the playlists and it will only match you with players of that same playlist rank. The people who go flawless every week should play against others just like them rather than casual players such as myself.

-
This would be good.
-
This is a good idea and there is a lot of plus's to it, hope bungie take notice.
-
Seems fair but if you were a betting person you would wager against it ever happening
-
If they do this. People will go to 8-0 and restart until the end of trials. There's really no point of it.
-
Just fix it from ELO to more a connection base. It's hard to get better if the shots won't hit the target or they are lagging balls.
-
This needs to be a thing.
-
So in other words. Cater what is meant to be the hardest pvp gamemode to scrubs. Gotcha. Muted.
