Separate Playlist for Guardians after Going Flawless
What I am suggesting here is that characters who have gone flawless that weekend would be placed in a separate playlist from the normal trials playlist. This would only be per character per weekend. You can still do the bounties and the daily gold tier bounty just on a flawless playlist. This would still allow for competition against normally flawless players in the normal trials playlist but also allow for new guardians to experience the lighthouse by allowing for further competition against other guardians who haven't reached the lighthouse that weekend.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?
Edit1: So I may not have made this clear, but what I am suggesting is that all players will play on the same playlist for trials until that character achieves flawless victory. I am simply stating that once that character goes flawless that weekend and they wish to continue playing that they play in a separate flawless playlist.

I've never gone flawless and whenever I go on a winning streak it's stopped by 335 slide shot gunning tryhards who all have the flawless emblem and have probably gone to the lighthouse 100 times. For once I just want a fair chance at winning. I know I sound like a whining baby but it's gotten to the point where I've quit trials altogether. :(

Streamers will just reset their cards before they go flawless so they can keep doing carries. Also, the point of the Lighthouse is supposed to be a challenge. With what you're recommending, players will just wait until the very last minute before running their card, in hopes that the pool of players left to play against are super terrible. This is similar to asking Bungie to nerf Raid bosses a little more every day after reset, so that on Monday before reset they're very easy to kill....you know, for the people who can't usually beat the Raid. It's dumb. You're not even missing anything from the Lighthouse. The rewards are crap. Nothing will be better than the vendor Hawksaw, MIDA, TLW, or Eyasluna.

This game already has to many lag issues. Segregating the player base even more will only cause more issues. Trials should return to year 1 matchmaking.

3 RepliesI wouldn't want a separate Playlist but if the sbmm is legitimately that. Than why am I going up against streamers constantly? I think brackets are a good idea if implemented proper. I'm not saying trials should be easy, far from it. I went flawless quite a few times y1. Y2 has been stupid since I started back in July. Every 7th match I've done trials I've gone up against a streamer or a super carry. All I'm saying is, is that since you have people paying for carries and account recovery the whole "beat the best to be the best" thing is kinda crap. Especially when you have the teams that stay in the game after multiple trials runs.

1 ReplyWhen guardians go flawless then continue their passage card, they technically have 8 wins so just make it where they just have 9 wins so they don't match up with a team who has 8 wins on their card

2 RepliesI've been saying this forever: If you go flawless you get put into a new playlist to ELO farm or whatever. Get even more sweaty if you want. I've been to the lighthouse only 10 times. My homies aren't the best and I'm not even close to good enough to carry people. I want to bring them to the promise land but I fear due to a forecast of extensive sweat........ My dream is will never come true.

I just wish the matchmaking did what Bungie actually says it does. I'm a bit over losing the first game on a card to a team going flawless. It happens all the time. Just go back to the year 1 trials matchmaking settings where connection was the highest priority.

If all the rewards on the flawless playlist were adept versions, maybe flawless players might try it out. But then there will be people who will want to be carried through [i]that[/i] playlist (maybe repeatedly) and the cycle repeats itself. Even if there are no special rewards for that playlist, people would still complain about it.

6 RepliesReally? Wouldn't the proper thing to do be to learn the maps, develop a strategy, practice your skills, and legitimately go flawless? I'm not willing to do all that, so I've never set foot in trials. I don't plan to. I also don't expect to be handed a trophy from a continuously diluted talent pool.

1 ReplyNo need to benefit the lower tier players at the expense of the elite PVP players. Not gonna happen. Find a solution that benefits both parties before trying something like this. Option A; Mercy boon counts for two losses (leads to less time investment by having to get another card) Option B: Make it 5 consecutive wins to go flawless instead of 7, trials is long as it is making it shorter would make no one complain. Less games means less opportunities to match super teams. Option C: Try what you suggested but then the elite players get WAY better rewards for competing in a tourney of champions style playlist. Like specific exotic, emblem, shader, armor, better trials guns. A 1200 elo team vs another 1200 elo team is nowhere near the same competitive level as a 1900 elo team vs another 1900 elo team. The matches for the 1900 elo team would be significantly longer so they deserve way better gear. That won't happen. Right now the flawless gear isn't better than the bounty gear all it gives is last resort which for poorer players doesnt even occur because they are rarely last guardian standing. So then the whining has to be for an emblem. That's it, a damn emblem is what players complain about. Therefore to think casual players wouldn't complain about the elite players getting amazing gear from an elite only playlist is just plain wrong. So that's why it won't work players love to complain about what they can't get.

Finally, a lot of players, like myself, play this game mode simply for fun. So punishing us for going flawless and not having anyone else to play with the rest of the weekend is quite unfair
