Addressing the Gemini...

I may be in error, I'm sure Bungie keeps tabs on weapon usage, but I almost never see this weapon in the hands of a guardian, either in pvp or pve... For it's perks, one increasing armor, one increasing agility... I think that if the current theory of having to pick only one perk were replaced by activating both, making people have to keep alternating between crit kills and body kills, the weapon would see a lot more use. It takes skill to keep a kill chain running that would keep both active and a challenging weapon is often more fun..

  • I see a lot of folks dislike the scope. Fair enough. But if you take it out several times you can grow accustomed to it. I very much like the gun. I've used it very sparingly, with just over 2,000 k's and a 48% head shot ratio. With MIDA I have over 20,000 k's and the same exact 48% head shot ratio. It's a viable pvp gun (and let's face it you can get the job done in pve with anything so I won't be talking about that area). You can do a search and find TrueVanguard using Boolean in one of his videos, I believe. Currently, I like Hung Jury as a back up to MIDA if I want to equip an exotic in another slot, mostly because of comparable fire and impact rates. I'm a devout MIDA user since yr 1 though, it not only was the first exotic I ever owned, but even after the high caliber round nerf it still offers a great total package perk set that I like using. I've grown so accustomed to it that I know exactly what to expect out of it at all times. I'd consider having Boolean as my day-to-day if MIDA didn't exist........but it all boils down to style of play and what you're comfortable with. Other folks prefer slower fire/higher impact and some prefer higher fire/lower impact. Use what you're comfortable and good with. Period. As far as Boolean's perks are concerned, folks will overlook the possibilities in favor of current popular trends. That doesn't mean the gun can't be effective. Unflinching is valuable in pvp. If you haven't given a gun with this perk a fair try, you should. See how it suits you. A choice between Single Point Sling, Hammer Forged and Perfect Balance is a fairly nice representation. A choice between One Way / Or Another is unique. No other gun offers this choice. If you're a newer player in pvp or have a hard time landing head shots..........combining Unflinching with the Or Another perk (bonus armor on non precision kills stacks up to 3x) is a very nice combination especially on this gun with a 75 aim assist number. Go check Boolean's ttk numbers crit/body shot and you'll find it performs well in these categories compared to other more popular scouts and is superior in the body shot department in some cases. Bottom line - give it a try and judge for yourself. The "popular" choice isn't necessarily the best for everyone.
