Iron banner ship drop rate
So another Iron Banner and all 3 characters to level 5 but still no IB ships - come on Bungie this is getting a little ridiculous. Consistently get all 3 characters to IB level 5 but RNGesus either hates me or something is wrong. I don't think it is glitched as most of my clan have at least one if not both of the ships. Just seems that the drop rate for me on these ships is crazy low! No more Iron Banners until Rise of Iron is released so may never be.
Set myself a stupid quest to complete all the emblem, shader and ship collections given lack of new content (little did I know how frustrating it would be). Still need 9 ships to complete the collection excluding a couple that I can buy (1 x Dead Orbit, 1 x NM, 1 x Trials, 2 x IB, 3 x crucible (blue and green ones that never drop) and 1 Vanguard (Fatal Vision)).
Does anyone know if these are glitched?

7 RepliesEdited by bobswerski: 8/22/2016 8:58:49 PMAFAIK only the Comitatus (NM) is still glitched, it's the only faction ship I don't have yet, including the Fatal Vision. I've ranked all 3 classes up to 5 in nearly every IB since HoW, and only got a Birth of History about 3-4 IB's ago. Only seen 1 Thoughtcrime drop, to a clannmate who rarely does PvP outside of IB. Made me a little salty but it was pretty cool nonetheless. Anyway, I've heard they only really drop if you play after you hit rank 5 on that character, which I rarely have much time to do.. But, who knows, that may just be another urban legend. I'm fine with it though, it's just cosmetic. The whole Gally thing sucked because it became a barrier for some people to get into endgame activities through no fault of their own. This is [i]completely[/i] different. Bungie has buffed loot drops so much it's way too easy to get everything now. IMO there should be at least a few items in this game (mostly cosmetic) that are [i]really[/i] rare. Getting everything handed to you gets boring really quick. Other than the first few times you clear a raid, there's not much that beats that awesome feeling you get when something really rare or cool drops. Taking that away just to satisfy some collectors OCD would be really lame.
