After replying to this thread last week I thought to myself, "we need an updated map of the progress of Bungie's world domination." So, I decided to start up a Bungie Community Map where the members of Bungie.net can mark their location and we can see how far Bungie's "reach" currently stretches.
This has been done before quite a few years ago, and it worked out well. VII Toast (and shortly after AJAQ) created a Frappr map and had quite a few markers all over the world. Sadly, Frappr is now dead and I don't know if anybody downloaded the data. If anybody happened to grab the data prior to it being deleted, I can upload the file and update the new map.
To add yourself to this map, all you have to do is click on the "Additions" menu at the top of the screen and select "Add Marker". All you now have to do is fill in the information in the dialog box. If you don't wish to put in your actual City/Postal Code for "security" reasons, you can at least select a nearby City/Postal Code so we could get a reasonable representation. You can also go to the "Media" tab of the dialog box and add a picture of you/your avatar if you wish, but keep it clean (I'll delete any inappropriate images I see).
Anyway, I would love to see how close to Bungie really is to world domination. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
PS: I was going to try Google Maps, but that seemed a little too "open" for people to screw with.
Edit: To make it a little more visible (per Qbix's suggestion), here is the only link in this thread that really matters:

Wow, really cool
-
I remember this. Too bad I forgot and added a location and then remembered I already made one...
-
Cool post! Perhaps we can use this aggregate data somehow. Maybe simultaneous Bungie Community Get-togethers? I think it would be novel if we planned a massive meet and greet; a hundred different burger joints across the world for people to meet at and hang out, all on the same day.

I see a few in Maryland ^^
-
Thank you sir.

I think that I have two locations on this thing, the one in Antarctica and my real one. Note: I did the Antarctica one a year ago.

Oh man, good you brought this from the old b.net! Kudos!

Oh man if only we had some sort of FEATURE that could SAVE THREADS that we thought were interesting. That would be a really great addition to this site.

Just scrolling across the map and looking at it leaves me in complete and utter awe. So many of us. So close too and we don't even know it! Amazing. Gonna message some of the guys nearby me and see if they want to have Bnet gathering lol.
