WAIT!!! DON'T COMMENT YET!
I'm not saying this so we can have more blood.
I'm not saying this so we can have in game sex.
I'm saying this so we can make the enemies as evil as they are in the lore. Example, the Hive lore wise are the most terrifying things ever. The light being ripped like skin from a guardian or being knifed by a weapon made from a ghost is scary as hell AND ALL IN THE GRIMOIRE. But because of the T rating we will never see the Hive as more than "They came from the moon and did all this spooky stuff off game."
The more evil the enemy, the sweeter it is to kill them. Its basic writing really, build up your antagonist instead of just shoving them in your face. The Taken King kinda did this with Oryx in the intro cutscene but have you guys read the book of sorrows? YIKES.
Please comment your thoughts below.
Edit: Okay l hear a lot of people arguing less people would play the game if it was M but do you think Bungie (Made Halo and the angry 12 year old) and Activision (Made COD and perfected the angry 12 year old) care about an M rating?
-
Yep. Blood, gore, swearing, the works.
-
Nah, it's time where it is I always thought halo had a higher age rating than it deserves. Should have been rated T all along.
-
Then they could make a tea bag emote
-
I would love to see a Titan rip a thrall in half DOOM style
-
Destiny 2 should be X rated. Come on show me them tiggies
-
Only if the queen comes back (giggity)
-
In my personal opinion I don't think it should be. And no I'm not 12
-
You really want to see Mara Sov In a bikini don't you

Before reading it was a no but I could see how it would actually make the story better and the lore relevant so you have changed my mind!

Edited by SgtMac31253: 8/24/2016 7:28:53 PMJust have it so you can turn the blood/gore on or off. Problem solved. Unless it has sex ,drug use/ references or Samuel Jackson' esk cursing going on, I'll let my kid play it. I'm pretty confident that gaming has been in place long enough for the kids to realize it's just a game. What sickens me the most is that these "activists" try and blame kids who go out in real life and commit horrible acts on video games. News flash, if your kid is raging for not having something go their way in a video game there's a real life disappointment going on here, and it's not the kid. Put all the blood violence and gore, an occasional swear word, maybe even a few questionable outfits in the game. My kid is 7 and knows it's only a game. Because I discuss things with her. Not just park her in front of a TV or tablet and not monitor what she watches then wonder why she acts like other people kids.... And by questionable outfit I'm referring to say a short skirt. Swear word like damn, or something not the f-bomb After reading some of the replies to the original post, I just wanted to clarify that it seems there are very fine lines between T M ratings. My personal opinion just happened to be about the presence of blood being a factor and that it is quite possibly the reason it was omitted to reach a more " available" audience that doesn't upset anyone without breaking up the flow of the game.

It worked for Batman: Arkham Knight. Why not Destiny?
-
Destiny 2 should be exclusive to Xbox One S just to piss off the Sony fan boys that think long term exclusivity is ok.
Btw yearly exclusivity is a dumb concept, especially for a game that generates content 12 months a year lol
-
Leave Destiny alone.
-
No. Every other game out there of this type is already M-rated. Leave Destiny as the one place we can play without excessive language/blood/gore. If you like that sort of thing go buy any one of dozens of games that offer that.
-
-
They shouldn't even make it.
-
Please
-
So... Felix from RvB levels of disturbing?
-
Well, considering that Australia (the pussy state of gaming) rated No Man's Sky PG for 'Mild Science Fiction'. So I suppose they're lucky that Destiny got off easy with an M rating...
-
I want to be able to steal a sparrow and pick up a dirty exo of the night. Take her somewhere smooov......
-
Perhaps a spinoff or something, or the first ever "exclusive" M rated dlc and then they go back to T
-
i like it the way it is like now
-
M=Milfs only?
-
Just here to say no again and to keep destiny clean.
-
I agree I think the game should follow the lore and legends portrayed. Good point!
