[i]Dearest Bungie[/i] This is a love letter. A tale I shall bestow of a young boy, who upon the day of his 5th year of existence his uncle gave him as a gift, a black box with a green logo on top. Along with this curious contraption was what appeared to be a DVD cover. Yet, the cover insert didn't seem like your typical movie branding. And what the hell was "Halo Combat Evolved" supposed to mean? This child grew with this game as his constant companion, until at age 7 the release of a new upcoming videogame caught his steely eye: Halo 2. Could it be? Another one? How? The concept was unbelievable. How could there be more? The words rung in his mind "I think we're just getting started..." After two years of escaping one Halo ring a few thousand times, he was about to plunge himself down onto another one. And from 7 years old to 10 he saved Earth from invasion. For three years he killed the Prophet of Regret. Donning that brand spanking new suit over that all too familiar, bone tingling voice never got old. That holographic purple chick was back talking in his head. And what was this? Playing as an Elite? Who is this Arbiter fellow? And then there was 3. The climactic closure to the trilogy. The finishing of the fight. The boy, now a seasoned veteran returned to kill another prophet, to find himself fighting side by side with an old enemy, to destroy another ring, to save humanity once and for all. To finally say, "Its finished." He thought it was over as Chief finally uttered the words, drifting lost in space "Wake me, when you need me." But Bungie needed the boy much sooner than he expected. Now thrown into the shoes of an ODST, he found himself feeling like a rookie again. The Rookie. Left in the wake of ruins he recognised, stranded without much of a trace of his fireteam. Until he found that helmet that awesomely flew through that window. Halo 3 ODST. The game his friends loved to hate, but the story he loved to live. He thought Halo had reached it's high point for him. Until Halo Reach was released on his birthday. 13 years old, not a day older, he was paving the way for Master Chief to tell his story. He became Noble Six, he lived the beginning of the legend. He became the legend, even as he watched his team slowly fall around him before offering the final sacrifice. People that know me would tell you I'm a gamer. I disagree. I'm a Bungie Jumper. I live for the stories and tales and epicness that you guys create and share with all your passion and awesomeness. This is also a sad letter. For my fiancée, I am going to be switching from Xbox One to PS4, leaving my 3 years of Destiny work behind. I must say goodbye to my MIDA Multi Tool, my Ruin Wings, my 1000 Yard Stare, and all the other goodies I have grinded long days for. I will restart my Destiny legend, but it is sad to lose the progress I made already. I do wish it possible to carry over my progress and items, but I know its unlikely if not impossible. Anyways, thank you Bungie. For years of fun, excitement and RNG torment. Keep on dominating the world like only you know how.
