I finally played myself too and the game is only good as long as it takes you to realize there is nothing to do or engaging in anyway aside from visuals.

  • I find the survival and trading fun. I would put tons of hours into it if I could but I can't.

I have to ask what survival? You have a very slowly draining meter that is refilled with any of the most common elements in the game, no animals or any threats really (sentinels are easily killed or out run), no real challenging weather environments, I mean it's got to be the easiest survival game ever made if you want to put it in that genre. Then with trading (I haven't done a lot) but the whole goal is just to be rich to buy a different ship to carry more stuff to trade and to make more money to buy an even bigger ship yes?

  • You haven't been to enough planets if you think there are no hostile animals or deadly weather conditions.

  • Just hypothetically we will say that's true, then the game is only a survival game like 1/20th of the time when you happen to land on a planet that actually has any danger to it. Because really you can't argue that the vast majority of planets have no survival element. But all the 'variety' of deadly weather conditions are all remedied the same exact way, which isn't very difficult to survive through in my experience. I guess I expected animals to pose the same danger as they do in ark and that left me very disappointed as the animals in this game do nothing. The AI for the is unbelievably stupid and they all share the exact same AI program as the large giant beasts act no different than the tiny crabs. Again 95% are passive even when provoked by gunfire they will just run and hit you once before they go back to completely ignoring you. Once you realize that you can out run pretty much everything and you can even clip right through the animals it kind of ruins any threat you ever felt they posed.

  • There are planets that without upgrading your suit you would last for mere seconds.

  • I'm not saying it is some super volatile survival system. It isn't. I would put hours into the game because it is just a chill game where I can just play. The minor survival features are cool but are in no way a game seller. Until I can actually play it though, none of this matters.
