Your main flaw is that you fail to understand that anyone that the Vex eliminate from time (cease to ever have existed) WILL NOT BE REMEMBERED BY ANYONE. How then can Oryx remember this Hive? It is not possible. Kabr forgot about most of his team bc they too were wiped out completely across all times. Some we know about because they perhaps found a way back thus the paradox in many of the VoG lore. Sorry but your explanation is absolutely wrong. This unknown Hive could simply have been a Great Hive lost in the first war against the Vex or casted out by Oryx, or even lost out there in the Cosmos for whatever reason.

It is possible. Oryx is in his own universe with his own time and space. Physics that he defines. Whatever the Vex do will not affect his throne, which is now the Dreadnaught. It's why the Vex couldn't understand the geomotry of his world until they created a mind specifically to understand it. It is outside of normal physics. The Vex can only remove people from reality in VoG not outside of it. They can only do that because VoG is a separate universe that they defined and control. It's their attempt at creating a throne-world. As praedyth shows, they are not erased from existence, just from time. Else we wouldn't find his skeleton and hear echoes from him talking about the Vex and the Taken - something that happened long after he disappeared inside VoG. As for Nokris, if he was lost, he wouldn't have a statue. It would be destroyed. Nokris would have to earn the right to a statue and that would mean he would be entered in the index. Oryx wouldn't bother himself over a failure. He has many spawn, many who would step into the place Nokris vacated. When Oryx threw Crota into the Vex network, he told him
Come home glorious, or die forgotten!
Nokris has another meaning for Oryx than just a son or daughter.

  • I agree with the Nokris point. I disagree with the VoG explanation. Praedyth never said that you only get removed from time. There is a reason why there is a weapon called "Paradox". We don't know what truly happened to Kabr and his team we just know that something happened that caused a "paradox". That is why we found praedyth's remains. Kabr made it clear in the grimoire that he forgot his team as if they never existed and he did not find their body in the VoG at first. Who knows what else he did in there. And yes the vex can only wipe ppl from the VoG which is why I completely disagree with OP.

Not necessarily. The Hive throneworlds are immune to Vex time-f*ckery so it's not impossible that ascendant hive would still have some fragment of memory of him. The Worlds Grave database from our timeline might not have any record, but the Dreadnought still could.

  • Nope. His theory fails bc the vex can only wipe ppl out in the VoG, no where else this far. So it is not possible for Nokris to have been wiped out by the Vex. OP original theory still fails.

But how do you know that Nokris didn't try to follow in Crotas footsteps and jumped into the Vex network as well, ultimately ending up in the VoG?
