Not sure about the different timelines thing. What purpose would they have to send them to a different time of they lose either way? Why does Nokris not get any mention in the Books of Sorrow and how would going through time even change something that was written? Look at Praedyth. Despite all the time junk happening to him, his name remained on armor and weapons. And if Nokris was removed from the books somehow, how did the statue remain? How would Oryx remember him? It's a creative theory, but you need some lore to back this up.
My personal theory is that Nokris may have done something to betray Oryx and so Oryx removed him from the Books of Sorrow. Savathun even writes in one passage how Oryx is lying in the books (though she a trickster so...). The only hole in the theory is the statue.
• Those wiped from all of time by the Vex will never be remembered by anyone. The only reason we know about Kabr's team is bc it is presumed some of his team came back due to something Kabr did. The VoG lore is full of paradoxes. Till this day no one truly knows what happened there. Also some lore given to us is simply giving to us in third person view. Information for the "players" to know not guardians.

 • The only hole in your theory though is a pretty big hole, why would he take him off the books but keep a big ass statue of him outside his throne room, OP's theory makes sense as to why Nokris isnt in the books and just like some weapons had the names of those lost in the vault the statue of Nokris remained. The only thing I dont see necessary in his theory is the different timeline thing.

 • 1. The reason Nokris isn't in the books is because in our timeline he never existed. As well, the books were already finished. 2. If we were in the timeline Oryx came from, there would be temples and such dedicated to Nokris everywhere. If we were in our timeline but fought the Oryx that is also from our timeline, there wouldn't be a Nokris statue, and there probably wouldn't be a Cathedral of Dusk.

 • The Vex sent them to different timelines because that way they wouldn't have them as a threat. But for Quria it was a desperate last second maneuver, so I don't know exactly.
