Bungie, we need some VERY HARD to find secrets in Rise of Iron!!

Do you guys remember all those crazy theories about the Sleeper Simulant? When you delivered that first Fusion Rifle part, and then nothing happened! People were searching all over Destiny for more clues, until we found out that it was only time gated..
Oh, and all those theories regarding a secret chest in the Vault of Glass?? Only to find out that there was nothing else to find down there.
Do you guys agree? Do you guys also think that we need some crazy hidden secret in Rise of Iron? I would love to see something where we find a small clue, but then we dont know where to go search. Please comment your opinions down below!
Edit: thanks for all replies! Seems like most people agree with me, and would like a few hard-to-find secrets. Hopefully we will see something in Rise of Iron

1 ReplyBut it will have to be things that don't have a gameplay impact, seen as many people are complaining about "Oh so you want to make it harder for casuals to get cool loot ingame". So things like a shader, or an emblem, or maybe a sparrow or ship. Maybe even a ghost shell, things that don't have massive implications upon the way someone plays the game and its difficulty. Even though I would have no problem with Bungie putting a y3 PRE nerf Vex Mythoclast in a super hard-to-get chest. I'm just making sure we don't get more posts about OMG NERF DIFFICULTY OF GETTING X WEAPON, TOO OP PLS NERF BUNGO NO ACCEPTABLE OMG OMG

Kind of like the basketball room in Kings Fall, except that it gives you a vague clue to something, and isn't just a way to waste a Saturday afternoon, trying to get people to light up the pillars in the right order.

2 RepliesI hope there are more secrets like the black spindle mission. It was awesome when destiny launched and people were discovering exotics that no one knew existed, the black spindle thing was kinda like that.

As a dev once said (not Bungie) it's hard to outsmart a million people. With so many people playing secrets can be discovered by brute force. Then they just post it on the internet and everyone knows. I mean honestly how many people do you think would have found the alternative ending to the Paradox mission if it wasn't for that every portion of how to do it was posted on the internet? Even if Bungie hide the most elaborate nonsensical secret in Destiny you've ever seen, you're just going to let a bunch of the community way smarter than you figure it all out for you and then look up the steps on the internet. The internet really ruined the ability to have secrets in anything.

9 RepliesYes let's Make it even harder for casuals (yeah I said it) to complete stuff and attain equipment/weapons that all the people who "stream"(live) on this game will have within hours. Yeah that's just what I want to see in an expansion I'm spending money on more unattainable material due my job, family and life. [spoiler]For those of you that don't get it yeah I'm a little salty over this post and somewhat sarcastic in my response[/spoiler]

Make the future exotic questlines only single player accessible (if you play with a team, they can't help you progress thru the steps)

Definitely need some hard to find secrets! I know this wasn't really that secret but when I logged onto the forums one day to see a side mission to get the black spindle I jumped on Destiny so fast!

I hope in the future we get to head towards North America, if I am correct, Old Chicago is a nuclear wasteland and I want to go there badly. I mean, we've been on Earth for how long and we only go into Russia? Come oooooon!
