Well they don't need to be, yeah the initial cost may be higher. The longevity is far greater than a console though. I was playing fallout 4 on my PC I made in 2011, with parts that weren't even high end for that time. Take that for what you will, just need to do some research.

That's why I slowly drifted to console gaming. Don't need to constantly update my specs to keep up with the others.

Yeah good point. Plus I can play a ton of games on my PS4 and Xbox One for free like Warframe, Neverwinter, APB Reloaded, and many more
