If you follow a sequence of each group soon you may think they're researching something in a very far future. Increasing concentrations of something being researched (or contained). What if somehow mankind has managed to time travel in the future, leaving only an alternative collapsed past timeline? What if the Collapse happened from many sources, one of them being the contact with Vex tech in Mars and Venus, and further research done by Ishtar Collective rivaling with Clovis Bray?
