One thing I've noticed is that few people use Defender in the Crucible and practically none in Trials of Osiris. The idea I had came from one of the million times I've been launched by a (taken) phalanx. The exotic would be some piece of armor, probably not the legs but none the less. The basic idea would be that when a Defender "pops" their bubble all others (friends and enemies) are pushed out but can then re-enter. I think this would revolutionize the use of Defenders. In Control a Defender could use this new ability to prevent the opposition from capturing a zone. In Trials of Osiris a Defender could stop the enemy from getting heavy ammo.

I enjoy using bubble in Osiris, I pop my super and suppress the first enemy super, then get utterly destroyed by the next one or two, 5 orbs fall and now my teammates have supers. Suppression grenade was invaluable during the age of the sunbreaker, blessing in thorns age, and capping the control point after long matches with armor was fun. Don't see too many other defenders though, anyway, Just story telling, neat exotic idea, chest piece with phalanx SHEILD, or arms with phalanx shield fragments for design, not too much knock back, maybe 3 foot around the bubble at most with little force and personally I think it shouldn't mess with teammates, but that's just my opinion, good idea overall

Or make the bubble emit music.

Bump, this is a brilliant idea.

That's an excellent idea. It should be an option to have it or not.

This sounds quite awesome and fully support this.
