I think these quests are Bungie's way of saying that they don't want you to only play one side of their game and to get some experience with the other side you don't like. I'm not a fan of PvP either but I still find the fun in it if I'm forced to play it. The swords are definitely worth it for PvE though so just try to get through it. I got all of those completed by killing with the sword hilt anyways.

Bungie should just let people play the game the way they want to. Their habit of micromanaging their game experience is highly annoying and it drives people away. It's never been about having fun with Bungie, they always want you to play the game their way, and that's how you lose customers.

Which is funny because like my OP stated, I swear Bungie for Y2 stated they wanted Guardians to be able to play the game their way and not HAVE to do Crucible if they didn't want to. Which is true to a point, I don't HAVE to at all.. Just they make some Quests require it.. And it's only the Quests that are like this be changed possibly. I'm not saying make things like Moments of Triumph "PVE or PVP", things like that can stay. I'm fine with not getting the PVP achievements for MoT, I only want the Shaders anyways..

That's why it's so irritating. Sure, I don't HAVE to go play PvP when a quest requires it, but that means I will never be able to finish the quest, which means no Chaperone. Bungie has been doing shit like this since the Halo days.
