A lot of people think that the Mida is op. I tend to disagree however. I think the Mida Multi-Tool is a good weapon to introduce players to scout rifles. I think this because scouts that take more skill (such as the Boolean Gemini) can outgun the Mida in my experience. Let me know what you think.
-
I've used mida since the reign of thorn, and it haven't changed since, the only reason people think hat it's OP is because everyone is using it. By now you all have found counters to it so how is it OP? Just get head shots on them and crouch while shooting. It's as easy as that.
-
It's just a really well balanced weapon stat wise. No other scout can compete hands down
-
Nah, I've destroyed many a Mida user with my Treads Upon Stars, I don't think it's OP at all, people just use it, because it's part of the meta
-
i just think the stagger is really stupid and it's almost impossible to snipe pff a mida, i am of the opinion the only counter-sniping weapon (at long range) should be snipers and snipers only
-
It's fine, like others say, its just overused. Although even if it does stagger some manage to get killed by a sniper even when getting struck. Bothering me a lot lol.
-
As stated...good introductory weapon to give someone a feel for what scouts can do in general. Some more proficient with the class can easily beat it with at least a dozen or more scouts...most of them legendaries and not exotics. Has good balancing and is good for a run and gun style player that doesn't want to spray bullets all over the place with an auto/pulse type of weapon. But by no means is it "OP". When I looked at it's stats about a week ago it wasn't even trending 20% of kills in nearly all of PvP. Most %'s hovered close to 12% or less. May be one of the more popular scouts in play ATM because it was recently sold for a small bag of strange coins...but there are far better options available to someone that is half-decent with a scout rifle.

Edited by SaltyJack591: 7/27/2016 5:43:56 PMMida is my last choice when it comes to scouts unless I need the extra agility. So many other better legendary scouts, most are 3 head shot kill weapons with just as much if not more stabile and better perks. It used to be great because it staggered enemies and caused snipers to flinch. That hidden perk was removed and now it's just an average scout and not worth using an exotic slot.

Am I the only one that is, and was never bothered by any weapon that's been in this game?(except for pre patch mythoclast) but that was because it had no competition, even then I wasn't making nerf crying posts, with the thorn meta, never complained(never had it in y1) never complained about shotguns, never complained about pocket infinity, never complained about anything!!
-
People use it becuase it feels great and it's so easy to use, and plus lots of people tend to follow what other people are using, that's how mida got into the meta
-
Mida... Massive aim assist Unique archetype with good ttk (not the best) Easily the most noob friendly weapon, if you are missing with it you don't have thumbs. Third eye combined with the movement speed bonus make it incredibly annoying, Incredible base stats, even better secondary stats. Hmmm.
-
Mida is not just OP, the issue is not the ROF or the Impact its the Aim assist and recoil control + it provides extra agility and movement so it makes it harder to counter snce the palyer will move very fast while ADS. Here is the stats of the weapon as seen in Planet destiny: Rate of Fire 42 / 42 Impact 37 / 38 Range 52 / 58 Stability 49 / 59 Reload 100 / 100 Magazine 21 / 21 Aim assistance 90 / 100 Equip Speed 100 / 100 Light 36 / 40 Recoil direction 80 / 100 Zoom 20 / 20

Ambo
One for the money, two for the show. - old
Hung Jury for life. -
It is, reason why everyone who can't aim well with normal weapons use it. Too easy to use
-
Overused equals overpowered in this community.
-
MIDA is the most balanced weapon in the entire game. Bungie should use it as an example of how a weapon can be balanced.
-
Mida is by no means OP. People are simply whining like usual.
-
I beat Mida pretty regularly with both Setteriene's Rapier and Colovance's Duty. The Rapier is becoming my go to Crucible gun. High rate of fire, high impact, good range and stability....

Lol in y1 I'd never thought I'd see the day when people thought mida was OP. Its a shame Bungie decided to literally ruin primary's in y2.
-
I also disagree that the Mida is OP due to the fact that it depends on the player, the weapon, the situation, and how the player uses the weapon.
-
My favorite is the hung jury but mida is a good gun too
-
I agree, mostly. I consistently beat MIDA users with my Colovance's Duty, usually at mid to long ranges. However, I just think it excels in more categories than any other gun in the game right now, post nerfs. Reload speed, aim assist, high caliber rounds, RoF, range, movement speed bonus. Still, it's an exotic, so maybe they just need to make other guns actually good again.
-
It's a good gun, but wouldn't call it op
-
Mida is OP because it has an advantage in every stat except Impact. It is a four shot kill with a high Rate of Fire with the best stability I've ever seen on a scout with high range and high reload and the highest AA of any primary in the game. To top it off, it has one of the best sights in the game that allows for close and far range encounters and still has an exotic perk that O haven't even mentioned. It allows players to have insane strafe speed on top of everything. How is this not OP?
-
It's not OP! You just don't need any skill to operate it :)
