Dear Snipers: Thank You
Thank you for making this game even more boring. Thank you for showing us that year 2 PVP is actually worse than year 1.
Back in the day Suros Regime and Vex Mythoclast would freak you out but at least you could do something with Shadow Price. Then shotguns and hand cannons came along. It was quick paced and fun. Now? Just people playing far away with snipers and scouts competing on who is the best at hide and seek.
I understand this is what most PVP streamers play (cant believe people actually spend time watching others play video games and even give them money for it but w/e). But really, you have shifted this game to one that is not dynamic at all. There is no relevant nor entertaining PVE content so we have to rely in constant, long and boring PVP events.
I have my vault full of exotic weapons that can easily be countered by any Hawkshaw or any idiotic fast-paced purple weapon in the meta. Whats the point of giving us new exotics if they are going to sit in the vault? Decoration? Epeen?
I don't mind if this game becomes a primarily PVP game. I really don't. Just let the community know so I can decide not to pursue a DLC or Destiny 2.

Regular snipers aren't really a problem but dying through Walls because of hidden hand is -blam!-ing broken

It's lack of skill and problem solving that's your issue. If everybody used shotguns, you'd just get outplayed constantly by better players then miraculously find something "broken" about shotguns. Oh wait, sometimes if you're lucky, you'll get shotgun trades! That way you can feel like less of a noob because you went one for one, and you won't feel as oppressed or frustrated, since we know you noobs don't plan ahead and will rush into a group of six for a single shotgun kill. Disclaimer: I use shotty too! Who would have thought someone defending sniping might actually enjoy running a shotgun. I use meta whore partycrasher+rangefinder+rifled barrel. No, I don't feel dirty sniping with it 😘

Do you want everyone to run to the middle of the map and kill each other? Snipers add a dynamic to the game where you have to watch out and be aware of enemies near and far. Sounds like you're just crying that you got sniped one too many times. Be more aware of your surroundings.

Medium impact pulse rifles. Any scout rifle. Grenades. Avoid sniper sight lines. Quit bellyaching. Sincerely, a player since beta and avid shotgun user.

I personally think the meta is at its best right now. I've seen strong teams using snipers or shotguns and even fusions, also all primaries types have multiple options. It's no longer a single weapon type meta which we had year 1.

If gameplay is really that slow for you switch up your playstyle, because even when I snipe it's pretty fast paced because I treat my special as a secondary.

Almost everyone is running shotgun now. Which is extremely boring in my opinion.

The game seems well balanced to me at the moment. In my experience there seems to be a big rise in shotgunners. Its been said before but every play style can be countered you have to br adaptable.

As long as Crucible exists, Destiny will never reach its potential. This sad and honestly joke of a PvP has already wasted so much time and resources. Until the cancer is cut out, it's time to move on.

The occasional game in Ib or reggie crucible where everyone has shotguns and weird weapons make me think of the old days.

Yeah it makes me sad playing pvp now, back in the felwinters and tlw days there wasn't much variety then either but at least it was fast paced and interesting. It was like playing gears of war MP, that's been a gnasherfest for years and the community doesn't want it to change cause its fast paced and fun

I clean up pretty good up close and personal with shoulder charge and a good fusion rifle. Try to not get into a sniper battle and take another lane.
