Sidearms actually good?
Lately I have shaped out my 1000-yard stare for a sidearm with descent perks and what I found is that in iron banner especially as long as your close enough and accurate enough this almost forgotten weapon type can become extremely deadly
What are your thoughts about sidearms at the moment?

Yup. Versatility is their greatest asset in pvp. -Spawn with ammo. No need to be desperately looking for ammo boxes. This allows you to Spec all your ammo perks to heavy ammo. -increased agility when holding one. (+1 agility iirc) -fastest draw time of the secondaries. -fastest natural reload speed. Allows you to focus reloader gaunlets for your primary. Of all the specials. Sidearms are the least flashy. But they are a true backup weapon. Reliable and get the job done.

Sidearms are great secondaries at medium range. They have almost perfect accuracy, even from the air. Always go for body shots and you will down someone in 4 to 5 rounds. Plus it's more reliable than going for the head.

I've been running a havoc pigeon for quite some time now, decent roll, nothing godly. I've found that sidearms are extremely useful. They work in perfect unison with my str/disc build and sealed claws. Double toxic smoke with a vortex and a pigeon to finish off the stragglers. Triple kills every other go. Hell yeah I support the sidearms.

I found a special place for them in my heart. I have a havoc pigeon with Crowd Control, feeding frenzy and rifled barrel Crow's eye with quick draw, rifled barrel, and reactive reload Ironwreath with zen moment, cascade, and rofled barrel

Its still good cqc though. Idk if its just me but the sidearms with suppressors are much more stable and easier to use imo. I had a few without silencers and they seem to be all over the place. I couldnt control them enough to hit crap.

Sidearms are underrated secondaries because of OHK associated with the other weapons. You must set you load out correctly because a hand cannon / sidearm combo is not smart. But if you typically use a scout rifle or Low ROF pulse then you should think strongly of a sidearm.
