Smash 4 is almost objectively the best. The people who don't like it don't have a Wii U and don't want one. And because they don't, decide to assume it's not as good as the one they played as a kid and had so much fun with.

I still have a grudge against 4 for destroying my favorite characters. Ice Climbers were my main, and switching between Zelda/Sheik was my secondary. I know it's because of DS limitations & such, but my grudge still won't let me buy it, despite the fact that I'd probably love it.
-
That's dumb. And separating Zelda and Shiek was great. They feel like their own characters now. Same with Samus and Zero Suit.
-
I know, but I'm too stubborn to drop my grudge. I loved the transforming characters, though. And while I understand how it's nice to have them separate, I'm probably never going to like it more than transforming.

It isn't only on Wii U. I don't have a Wii U but I still have Smash 4 on DS. Melee is still the most competitive.

3DS isn't near as good as Wii U. That's a fact. And it is most competitive. But that's it. And Smash 4 is still very competitive. Even having more entries at EVO than Melee 2 years in a row. And better than Melee in every single other aspect aside from competitive. And Smash 4 is more balanced. Instead of seeing the same 5 characters in tournaments and nothing else.

If you like the 3DS better that's understandable. But Smash 4 is objectively a lot better than the 3DS version.

I think so. A friend of mine has a Wii U and another friend and I go to his house and we all link our DSs to the Wii and we fight each other. That is an awesome feature.
-
I actually don't have the Wii U version. I play it with friends, but I can't afford it at the moment, and I don't really want to get it for a single game. It's just how I feel about that kind of stuff.
-
But it's still the best Smash game. But I can give you a list of great Wii U games to make it worth getting. Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, HD remakes of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, Pokken Tournament, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Unless you're the type of person who dismisses all of Nintendo's franchise as the "same thing every time" when they're not. All the games I listed are fantastic. Sorry for going on. But it's such an underappreciated console.

Ok. I'll have to think about it. I have thought about trying to get it, but I just always had Smash 4 being at the top of my list of reasons. I do love all of Nintendo's franchises, but the Wii U was just kind of something I overlooked when it came out, so I got a PS4 instead. If I do end up getting one, I'll keep that list of games in mind.

Awesome :)
