Full Auto In Depth - Primaries (scout/pulse rifles)

Full Auto: Read Instead How does the perk affect your weapon, are these affects worthwhile, and does it have any hidden affects. Full Auto is only available on scout rifles and pulse rifles. The perk description says, “This weapon can be fired in full auto mode.” This perk kind of does what it says; allowing you to fire the weapon by simply holding down the trigger. On scout rifles it truly does makes it full auto; firing continues bullets. Although on pulse rifles it is not quite, since you will still be firing in bursts. As a hidden secondary affect you also get about 10% better hip fire accuracy. I did many tests to find this. I found that sometimes this affect would show up in the cross hairs and other times it would not so I’m fairly sure it is actually there but it also may just be a fluke. So is the perk worth using? Overall statistically the answer is No. With no real benefits other than your convenience it is not worth using over most other perks. I know many people recommend the perk since it can allow you to more easily fire at the weapons maximum fire rate. I’d recommend that if you have a hard time firing these as quickly as they can; than you should try switching your firing button to the bumper instead of the trigger, or get a custom controller with trigger stops. As well shooting in full auto can make you lazy at aiming and cause you to waste ammo. Personally when I have used full auto on scout rifles I have found my self swiping over targets more often and firing more than needed. Overall I would say firing in full auto is much less precise and the perk space that full auto would take up could be used exceptionally better by a different perk. Do you like full auto on your scout or pulse rifle? All other In depth posts: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/209148528
