Anyone else sacrifice themselves for the good of the team?
I don't care about kd. If I see a bunch of the other team around a control point and I got a couple of my teammates around, I will go ahead and distract the other team by running head first and trying to pop a grenade/shotgun/blink strike combo and drop some health down and draw the other teams attention while my team cleans up.
The two games i played last night the teams in was on just really meshed well together. I don't have much time to play but I seriously have enjoyed pvp lately.
Edit: just checked my recent kd, 1.3. Cool maybe I'm getting a bit better.

I play full support on my titan tanked a nova bomb to save my team once thought that was cool
-
I usually don't have to sacrifice myself. Whenever I see a roaming super I just toss a suppressor.
-
This IB I quit using aftermath and pulled out death from above, it works well to take out a team
-
If I think I can take at least two (or more) players with me I'll rush into a zone

dangernudle
Gaming - old
Sometimes I'm super laggy and I can't damage anyone so I run around the enemy team being a distraction -
Look at my k/d....I sacrifice myself for the good of the team all the time!
-
I'll often use Golden Gun for the good of the team at my own inevitable demise.
-
I'm the asshole that nova bombs the heavy don't always make it tho...
-
I get shat on quite a bit by acting as the team's Defender, but if it means protecting our point I'll gladly trade kills with my mag grenades.
-
Shot my KD down this week being the SEEMINGLY ONLY OBJECTIVE PLAYER on EVERY TEAM. Lots of losses. Nobody tries to play objective and we lose HARD.
-
In hawken, but not this one
-
Sometimes I strategically go to a certain point, kill 2 or 3 opponents with my Plan C, get their attention, then everyone comes back to that point for a vengeance while my teammates are holding the other two points :)
-
Nope. But then again I can take a tripmine out with my face and live
-
Not really in Destiny, but in Overwatch...
DVa started her self destruct, and I Reinhardt-charged the mech off of the map to save my team. Don't know why that didn't get PotG lol.
Edited by Detric: 7/23/2016 11:55:21 AMGenerally the tank w/ my Titan - run in and do as much damage to as many players as possible - next two clannies run cleanup - rinse & repeat. Know your roles

All the time.

I'll take one for the team. I just wish my team would. Try grabbing a zone, or defend a rift when you hear these words: "Heavy Ammo Available." The whole team scurries like roaches. And there you are. Alone. Lucky to get one, maybe two, and BOOM! "The enemy ignited your rift!" or the zone is taken and about 3 of the worst ransoms are now tea bagging you.

Edited by Xii Alpha iiXx: 7/23/2016 2:24:49 PMAll the time. If we don't have a cap when heavy is dropping, I'll cap while everyone gets heavy and tell them not to get on the cap. People always rocket the cap zone. Why risk loosing heavy for 75 points? Let me get the cap and die so we can get more points per heavy kill. I try to always push over control points while people get the cap. If you can slow down the push to prevent the cap, the people capping are more likely to get the cap. People don't get that and just sit on control points. Have someone pushed up while they cap. It makes a huge difference. That or I try to push their heavy, I would rather stall them and kill several of them, then have an even match of Truth rockets.
-
If I'm doing poorly that match then yes. I'll be bait I'll be distraction. I'll be bullet sponge. Because if my death gets 2 kills that's a net gain
-
I always save my super for when heavy spawns and look to see what crate most of my teammate's are at then run to the opposite one kill enemies grab heavy and usually die. Only too see them magically grab the other heavy, like wtf are you doing team? lol this has happened at least 1000 times. :|

All the time Will start a rush in Control, bring down some life and take a death just to place a nade or two(Striker running Armatarium) Sucks when you rush and rest stay back tho, but sometimes it works wonders K/D means nothing to me(I only look at recent KD to gauge my own progress but even then it's a rough number)
-
LOL All the time! In Destiny, you are usually back in and playing in 5 second, or whenever your teamates get there to revive you. :) LOL Also play Paintball and on many occasions will do what I can for the good of the team, even if that means I'm going to end up taking the 30 minute walk to the regen and back. (Large scenario on 250+ acres)

Sacrificing IB wins so the other team can hit rank 5
-
In any multiplayer game, I try to do things to benefit the whole team whenever I can. It's why I like playing the support units in destiny, league of legends, overwatch, the medic from team fortress 2, I even made a support class in halo 4.

There's no "we" in team
